Sacre bleu! Francophiles hanging around Richmond may already have the scoop, but it shouldn’t be too long before many others catch wind of the news that one of Melbourne’s biggest go-to French patisserie houses has opened up right on Victoria Street. No more treks to Footscray (where the French Baguette Cafe first opened) for a stash of flaky croissants or sack of freshly baked French bread. As well as all the sweet French classics and ornate cakes for which The French Baguette Cafe are best known, its Richmond incarnation also offers amazing fresh sandwiches (delicately meaty or packed with grilled Mediterranean vegetables) and superb coffee. It’s a logical place to start the day, great for an easy, tasty lunch during a busy working day, or swing by later on for a relaxed treat with some friends.

Nice food and generous serves. Nice atmosphere. Always consistent in taste.
Great Vietnamese French style including friendly service. Simple to book and with gluten free options if you know your ingredients. Staff not aware of gluten so it's up to you.
