The vibe remains unwaveringly casual, but the atmosphere is elegant and refined, its exposed brick walls glowing warmly under dimmed lights. The food suits this setting, truly some of the best contemporary Australian and international cuisine you’ll find in outer Sydney. The Peppertree’s chef wanders down to Flemington Markets to hand-pick fresh, seasonal local products twice a week, and this care and attention to detail is obvious in the final products. A sensational selection of seasonal seafood is superb to share, the ever-changing small plates quickly add up to a satisfying meal, the main dishes swing from pork belly with mustard fruits to roasted echallots, and The Peppertree’s famous desserts are as delicious as they are aesthetically beautiful.
