With simple but charming decor, The Reservoir is a stylish cafe and restaurant serving up modern Mediterranean cuisine and speciality coffee to the people of Surry Hills. Sydney is a city big on breakfast and at The Reservoir you can kick your day off no problem but, having recently launched an evening menu that has been praised for its authentic Greek flavour, we recommend you go for a platter of taramosalata caviar dip and pita, the acclaimed pan-fried Greek cheese with lemon or chargrilled chicken served with lemon potatoes and tzatziki, slow-cooked veal and potatoes in lemon sauce, and the signature dessert known as Lamington Loukoumathes – Greek donut balls dipped in milk chocolate with house-made strawberry jam and coconut flakes. The Reservoir is a local favourite, so book a table and head on over to Reservoir Street!
Food was good but the portions were really small. There was hardly any meat in the pita. Also, would have been nice if the table was wiped down instead of having the previous customers crumbs.
Very friendly service and a modern rustic atmosphere. Highly recommend the delicious meze dishes. But our dining experience was topped by the dessert.... a classic Greek donut dish 'loukoumades' with honey, crushed almonds, cinnamon and vanilla bean ice cream. Heaven!
AMAZING EVERYTIME GREAT SERVICE GREAT FOOD JUST LIKE REAL HOME GREEK COOKING BUT BETTER AND DERSERT TO DIE FOR SO GOOD I RECOMEND THIS PLACE TO EVERYONE
