Always amazing food and great service. I’ve never had a bad experience here, the atmosphere is great and the food always impeccable and reasonably priced.

Lovely restaurant and bar. Wonderful and helpful staff and really upbeat and happy. Great service from all the staff at the Swallowed Anchor and the Tapas sharing plates are really yummy foods to share with your friends. Great wines and cocktails to choose from the list and bar.

Food and service was nice. Better descriptions or images of food would be great. A small improvement would be to ensure that the food is delivered to patrons on the same table close to the same time. Otherwise, a nice experience.

Great Atmospere a little loud but live music is like that. Staff were great so was the food. Ill definitely go back. Thanks for a great night.

Service was prompt and attentive without being overbearing. The food that we ordered was good without being outstanding. Some dishes could have been hotter as it was a cold night and a couple of dishes were to overpowered with chilli which detracted from the flavour but overall a good meal was had by all and we would have no hesitation in returning

The food was excellent, the service the same. At many restaurants tapas dishes are small and overpriced but this restaurant has good size dishes and reasonably priced. We would have stayed longer and had more drinks, but My only criticism is that the chairs were not comfortable enough to sit for a long time. We will go back to The Swallowed Anchor, good experience.

Unfortunately food didn't live up to expectations, scallops a bit under cooked, prawns really over cooked and generally food a bit disappointing. On the other side of the coin the location and staff were really great and I did inform them of the food issues when paying the bill and comments taken on-board.

Great service. Lovely food and wonderful atmosphere with acoustic live music. Very impressed with mick Parker on the mic and guitar. Would highly recommend this venue.

Great quality food. Never had such tender calamari. Rosemary fries were amazing. Variety platter of sliders were my favourite. All dishes were serves piping hot. Great job.

The food was fantastic, tasty tapas style. Curated beer selection with some great ales on tap and in the bottle. Most of all, friendly, welcoming and warm service from all staff.

Went here one Thursday night and found the food to be fantastic, service was great and the size of each Tapas was quite large - leaving us pretty full afterwards. Would recommend.

Went as a party of 6 to celebrate a birthday. We were not disappointed. Great food, great atmosphere, great service and all reasonably priced. We will definitely dine there again. We would highly recommend others to try for themselves.

Great little bar/café with delicious food and local live music on Saturday nights. I took my friend for her birthday we had a fantastic night. The one man band playing was amazing and had us all up on the dance floor for most of the night. Lots of fun!!

Live music which was good but the singers voice was very loud. Food was awesome and the staff were friendly and happy to help. Will be back

Tapas were great. The salt and pepper calamari was cooked to perfection and I really enjoyed the mushroom arancini covered in a nice crunchy crust. The Nutella donuts were to die for although could have had a bit more Nutella with them. Emily markham entertained us throughout our meal and the atmosphere was fantastic as a result. The only disappointment was that there was no dessert wine on the menu.

Delicious food and a great range of craft beer. The service was warm and friendly; a modern, clean and comfortable atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

The service was great, the food sensational and the location was very convenient. The menu had a good variety with many different flavours to spoil your taste buds. Our first time and definitely not our last time!

The meals were tasty and promptly delivered. The presentation of the restaurant was nice. The waiter had limited knowledge of the menu and what was available. Have been there before for lunch an felt the menu was more suited to that meal time.

Singer doing acoustic guitar covers accompanied by double bass on Saturday night made for great entertainment while we waited for our meals. Chilli prawns and crema Catalana were absolute highlights of our meal. A delicious night of food & music.

We pre-ordered being time poor and were not disappointed. Our food arrived fresh and hot to our table within approx. 5 minutes of arrival. The service was outstanding, the venue lovely and the food delicious. Highly recommend to anyone and everyone
