We had a great night with friends. The venue has a relaxed feeling about it and the food was great. I enjoyed grazing with the shared plates. The back round music could have been turned down a little. Overall had a great time.
Very nice tapas, generous serves! I would highly recommend the Portobello Mushroom and Parmesan Arancini, Soft shell tacos and Braised Pork, Veal and Chorizo Balls in Romesco Sauce.
Fantastic food at reasonable prices and friendly staff will definitely be back for dinner soon Tapas were great and the kids loved the sliders and tacos.
Go with the tapas, rather than the 3 for $ tacos etc. We found the tapas to be totally devine, but the tacos (although great value) were a little bland in flavour. The service is EXCEPTIONAL and all the staff we encountered from arrival to goodbye were friendly and awesome.....just what I love in a restaurant. We'll definitely be back to try some of the other delights from the tapas share plate menu!
Awesome. The staff (including owners) were super friendly and super helpful. The food was awesome. The choice of tapped beers, wine etc was great. The music was just right. Looking forward to our next visit on a Saturday night for the live music.
Went there on Valenties evening. Swallowed Anchor dished out a memorable 3 course meal. Really comfortable atmosphere, nice and quiet, fast service, fresh quality tasting food and good value. Will definitely be returning.
Great staff and great food. Everyone was very friendly and attended to all our needs. Will definitely be a regular at this restaurant! Thank you for a lovely evening
Went to the Swallowed Anchor for the Valentine's Day set menu. The food really impressive (especially as it was so reasonable). While staff were friendly and professional, it did take a while to get cuttlery and crockery to table for our entre, and we had to ask more than once.
Great service, friendly and attentive staff. Food came promptly and was delicious. I'd recommend a seat with a view of the mall at night time!
I always enjoy eating at the swallowed anchor. The staff are very friendly and the food is amazing. The swallowed anchor is one of my favourite places to dine
Good food, nice tapas selection. We sampled the whole selection of sliders and soft tacos, both were very delicious. Good drinks and good service too.
Friendly service, great food! Wine was nice too. Atmosphere was lovely on the terrace, would highly recommend to friends and/or family. Thank you for your hospitality.
We really enjoyed this restaurant. The food is top notch - presentation was great. The staff are friendly & accommodating. Restaurant is in a great location - central to Wollongong. Definitely, my new fav restaurant.
Went to The Swallowed Anchor for my birthday. Had the most fantastic food and wonderful, friendly service. Will definitely be going to The Swallowed Anchor again!!
Absolutely brilliant. Can't recommend anything else after being here, did I say brilliant already! Good food, good atmosphere, great food! Thanks for the top night guys!
The food as usual was delicious. The service is excellent. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. The singer, Justin Huntsdale was great. A very talented musician and sang the songs to suit the mixed audience. We have been there a few times and will be back.
Went there with a group of friends for the first time. We decided to have the set menu which included the dessert, the food was lovely. The service was excellent along with a great vibe in the restaurant!
