Really cute place. Nice and quiet. Great romantic atmosphere. The food was great however it took super long to arrive. Almost 45 mins from ordering.

Great atmosphere, good music but at a volume you can at least still have a conversation!!

Loved this pub except for the really loud music that suddenly came on while we were finishing our meal and abruptly put an end to conversation as it was deafening. We couldn't understand why that suddenly happened, there seemed no need for it. Apart from that it was great. The food was delicious and came super quick which was good for us as we were seeing a play at the Belvoir at 7.30pm. Lovely staff too. Would recommended it but for the deafening music that might suddenly come on for no reason

Small and cosy bar with a great array of beers to choose from. Food and seating options were a little limited for our needs (grabbing a pre-theatre meal) but what is offered certainly fits the relaxed yet buzzing atmosphere on offer.

Short answer, we booked a space for 10 people 2 weeks in advance through this app that was accepted, but arrived on the night with the wait staff having no idea about the booking. Not great.

We booked in for a work function and had the best time. Love the atmosphere and ambiance of the bar and not to mention the $12 Espresso Martini's. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for somewhere different to catch up with friends.

We booked a table for 10 and ended up having the entire back section to ourselves. Thanks heaps to Matty for his hospitality. A top night playing video games, darts and jenga. Great beer. Good times. Highly recommend.

Great atmosphere and good brew. We had a Friday arvo session after work and the location was perfect. We could easily stagger back to the station.

The Wanderer is a great venue, with excellent cocktails and a cool atmosphere. Booking was also extremely easy, with an immediate response from the Wanderer!

One of the best bars I've been to in a long time. The cocktails are delicious. Going back tonight for a second night in a row to try the food.

Great atmosphere, service and place. Trivia was a lot of fun, well organised with proper sound equipment for all teams to be able to hear. Prizes were generous and the general vibe was relaxed.

Had run out of beers. Gave us a menu that is no longer valid and when we went to order was told that their menu had changed (from like 50 items to like 7 items). The menu on their website is also the old menu. They served us the wrong wings and I had to order again (they did correct FOC). The maria cart was good, but one of the controllers was broken.

Great value chicken schnitty meal on Wednesday trivia nights. Cosy atmosphere with a nice outdoor area at the back. Though preferred it before the bar was extended.

Friendly service, fun atmosphere, and good food! Great spot to go with friends and play games for an evening. Trivia moved a bit slowly, but was still a lot of fun. Would definitely recommend and go back again!

Had a group of people there for Birthday drinks and we had such a great night. We booked ahead and were given a great table out the back. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, loved being able to play Nintendo out the back! Would highly recommend and will definitely be back :)

Wonderful food out of expectation. You can see the ribs and the slaw is really well thought out, and for a weekday special, it was so substantial, no corners cut! The life music was so chilled, and everyone had a good time. There were pros and cons to where our table is, pros is that we get to be seeing the music live as we eat, the cons is that we had to shout to each other to get conversation going as it was a big loud, but I am not complaining. Came once, was surprised at the quality, came back, and it was more than amazing. My boyfriend said, this will be his number 1 pub, and our local grub from now :))

Awesome place, wine,food and trivia always a great mix, lots of fun, fantastic service, easy to get to and from. Will definitely be back and most certainly will recommend to friends and colleagues.

Loved the warm and cozy ambiance (but not the hallway table), the wine was very fine, and the menu is a corker, full of comfort food and flavour on a cold winters night ...

Such a great little hidden gem on the edge of Surry Hills. The food, service, price and ambiance were all excellent. Will definitely go back again soon. Highly recommend!

My third time visiting The Wanderer and had a great night. Ordered a few of the share plates, all of which were pretty tasty. My only complaint is that some of the karaage chicken was a little bit fatty but not so much that I felt ripped off. The bar had a nice buzz without feeling over-crowded and I very rarely had to wait for service. Will go back again.
