Tokyo Teppanyaki

This teppanyaki has been my go to for years. They never disappoint, outstanding service always!

Such a wonderful experience yet again. The food as always, was exceptional. The service excellent. Made for a wonderful dining reintroduction post Melbourne’s lockdown.

It was great to return after a few years away. The place could do with a spruce up, but the food was delicious and the chef very friendly and engaging

We had a fantastic time. It was fun. The Chef Brian was very nice and made everyone feel comfortable as well as being a very great chef. His egg throwing can be improved, only kiddin. Overall, very fun night considering covid restriction and all. Definitely recommend the place.

This was a memorable night out! The food was just amazing and the atmosphere for our children and our son’s special birthday was just brilliant! The chef played tossing of the bowl games and the kids caught the bowls and rice! Then they dressed the birthday boy in a kimono and brought out a birthday cake and he got to cut it with a huge sword! They will remember it for a long time. The best! Thank you Tokyo Teppanyaki. Always wonderful 👍

high quality food, friendly staff and professional chef services with the delicious food from their special cooking show in live.

They were very patient with us as we were a bit of a rowdy group. We were 45 mins late for the booking (that was an error on our end though, we thought we’d booked for 8pm, not 7pm) - they still held our table and we had the best time! Food was delicious, drinks were amazing, the staff were all so friendly and attentive and the chef we had was so good! Thank you so much for making it such an incredible night!

Way over priced. Had to ask for our entrees 3 times and there was only 1 other customer in the restaurant. Food ok, but definitely not worth the $

We’ve been visiting Tokyo Tepinyaki every year for the past six and we keep on returning because we and the kids have such a fun time. The fact that the food is also delicious just makes it all the better. It’s definitely an experience not to be missed.

I've been there before and each time I have a wonderful dining experience. Friendly and attentive staff, awesome chefs, fantastic atmosphere. Chose the "Emperor's" selection on the menu. Loved it! HIGHLY recommended.

Great family night. Lots of fun. We had our own personal chef who cooked delicious food for us all and made our evening very memorable. Staff surprising us with a birthday cake for our daughter was a great way to end a fabulous night.

We we’re so disappointed! We have been to Tokyo Teppanyaki about 20-30 times over the past 4-5 years and can only assume they’ve had a change of management as last few visits have been nothing like what we used to love about the place. Last night we had a booking at 6pm to celebrate 11year-olds birthday with 6 of his friends. The entrees took forever to arrive and kids were all starving and then we had to wait even longer for the chef to arrive. Seemed to be cutting corners on everything! Very nice service for drinks. Arrived 6.20 pm - drinks served promptly. Order taken for food-then 45 minutes wait for Chef to appear. Food excellent and very happy with the Chef. Birthday cake and candles very nice, but such a sour waitress officiating, a glare not a smile was shown to us. The other waitress was very nice and helpful. Our Grandson enjoyed his birthday so that was the main thing.

Booked in for 915 and they also had a later slot but closed the place at 1030pm and didn’t complete our kids set menu (ice cream) and said the kitchen was closed. The chef who served us was amazing though.

Probably the worst meal I have had in the last 10 years. Chicken had an awful “off” taste, gyoza were cold and the servings were tiny. They charged $25 for literally 3/4 cup of cooked spinach. There for 75 minutes without service. No one even came and asked if we wanted drinks after our first one, we just sat there doing nothing.

We’re repeat diners. The food is always terrific quality, the staff go the extra mile to ensure everyone has a good time and kids and adults alike enjoy the Teppanyaki chef’s show.

What a fun place to eat. Fantastic food with wonderful flavours. The chef was entertaining and knowledgeable - he was trained in Japan and explained about the differences in the meats.
