Good food. Tiny setting but lovely service. Toilet out back is dark and dingy so don’t expect 5star restaurant building. It’s a tiny Japanese bar with great food

We had a lovely meal. Very good service. The food very fresh and presentation very nice. We will definitely go back again. The sashimi salmon and prawn spring rolls were very tasty.

The food was very nice, although we ordered more that didn't arrive. The restaurant is very small and it was packed. The atmosphere was good. We will go back.

The food is served quickly but it is also very very good quality, so much flavor. was perfect for us - we were going to the movies also so had plenty of time to do both. Staff friendly nice relaxed feel. - Will most be become one of our "Go to" places for food.

Love this place. Low fuss great food and in and out quickly so perfect for lunch on a work day. Great for dinner as well.

For lunch we were given a menu with what we expected to get at a Japanese resturant ie sashimi etc, only to find on ordering that those items were only available for Dinner - Not lunch. Then given a second menu containing finger food items - nice but not what we visited for.

Food was delicious, service was great food came out in record time and was surprisingly very filling. Would definitely go back and try other things on the menu.

Very nicely presented and tasty food, extensive menu, very fresh food. Friendly helpful staff. Only downside was had to chase up a couple of items.

I was very disappointed with my visit and will not return. We sat down and ordered 7 dishes and a couple of drinks, and after the drinks arrived, the waitress informed us that there was no rice. Although we found this odd as it was 8.30pm on a Saturday we would expect a Japanese restaurant to have its staple food, we let it pass. Subsequently, the waitress came again and told us there was no beef and a little later she told us there were only 3 slices of salmon sashimi left (we ordered 10). Since we had already sat down and had drinks and waited for our food, we stayed anyway. As soon as we finished our food, we paid our $90 bill (for 2 pax) and left disgruntled and walked across the street to have more food at another restaurant because we were still hungry.

The food was very good but didn't measure up to the enticing photos on the website (or was it Tripadvisor?). The Kingfish Sashima was excellent and beautifully presented but was the only raw fish available at 8pm on Saturday night. The Unagi was very flavoursome and good value for money - although bordering on the soft side The stools are most uncomfortable. Service was good and friendly but all our 6 dishes arrived at the same time - in spite of asking for them to be brought out gradually. We were a table for 2 but were seated next to a table of 10 women - in this tiny space it made conversation very difficult. We were in and out in an hour and didn't feel inclined to linger because of the noise and the uncomfortable stools. However we will return for the flavours - but perhaps at lunch or a mid-week night - and we might bring cushions!

Friendly fast service and the food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended for groups to do share plates or singles to do individual meals! I had the ginger pork belly and it was so yummy!

Food was fantastic. And the waitress recommendations were on point for what we were after. Cocktails were strong but tasty and presented beautifully. Food is a very high quality and standard which may not be expected from the quaint little shop set up.

Food quality, selection and service were excellent. I would skip the okonomiyaki next time as it was not the Hiroshima version. The seats are a bit uncomfortable but it is geared for fast turnover.

The meals we chose were deliciously flavoursome of smallish portions. And bonus too was it was happy hour so we tried the green tea sake & it was surprisingly good. Very enjoyable will return.

Ticked all the boxes for food, atmosphere and service. Didn't feel like I was in Geelong. Had four dishes and all were excellent. Most authentic japanese i have had in gtown. Make sure to book a table. Yum!!!!

Food is fast and delicious. The space is quite small though so the person behind me literally sat on my back at one point. Aside from the that the atmosphere was amazing.

The food was fantastic so was the staff there could have been a little more time between bringing out each dish and would prefer better seating either a cushion or back the stools were to hard

Authentic Izakaya ! The miso king fish was lovely and they have a great selection of Japanese Sake and Beer to go with the great food .

My wife is Japanese and I have been to Japan many times, Tomodachi is by far the most authentic Japanese restaurant in the Geelong and surrounding areas. With a Korean owner and Japanese chef, the set up is small but intimate with excellent customer service. Slightly more expensive than other outlets in the area but a really good experience, we will be back !!

The 2nd visit - this time with 1st timers & we were all VERY impressed with the service, food & ambience. We'll definetly visit again.

Good food. New waitress was a bit clumsy. Gave one of our dishes to another table and the tried to charge us. Mucked up the order on the table next to us too.

Fantastic food, good service and friendly staff. Can fet busy so it is best to book. It is our new favorire restaurant in Geelong. Love it.

Great food at a reasonable price. Super friendly service. Food come out of the kitchen fast, so didn't have to wait long. I would recommend you book ahead they seem to be busy.
