We've been back to Wooden Spice in Curl Curl a few times now and it never disappoints. The beef ribs are next level—fall-off-the-bone tender and packed with flavour. The Massaman curry is always a winner, and all the chicken dishes we've tried have been fantastic too. Great food, generous serves, and really friendly staff. Definitely one of our favourite local spots!

Wooden Spice in Curl Curl is an absolute gem! The beef ribs are incredible—so tender, full of flavour, and easily some of the best I've had - brilliant level of spice. The Massaman curry is rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced, and every chicken dish we've tried has been consistently delicious and cooked to perfection. Friendly service, generous portions, and amazing food every time. Highly recommend!

Wooden Spice is a local gem that delivers authentic, flavour-rich Asian cuisine in a relaxed, wood-accented space. The food is fresh and delicious , the service is friendly and professional, and the BYO is great - bottle shop next door. It’s a fantastic choice for a casual dinner with friends or family — especially if you enjoy sharing dishes and trying a variety of flavours. If you’re planning a special night out, just be aware that it can get busy (and loud), so booking ahead is wise.

The menu features a variety of Asian dishes: Thai curries (like Massaman), noodle dishes (Pad Thai), wok-tossed beef, Javanese chicken, and signature items such as Wagyu beef ribs. All delicious.

Sensational flavorful food. We love the great range of entrees and fabulous chef special dishes - massaman curry, Wagyu beef ribs and Javanese chicken to name a few.

Up to your usual standard ... food excellent ... hot and well presented. Staff were very good ... patient amngst some clients who couldn't make up their minds what they wanted. I particularly liked to ease with which we could share our meals around. The one criticism I have is that the tables are very small and it is difficult to fit everything on them but I can see that you need a larger room really!

Very good ... just the noise level which made it difficult to hear what was being said without shouting. But not much you can do about that in such a small restaurant!
