Excellent food. Our only complaint was that we had to wait a long time to place our orders and then a long time before the food started to appear. I understood from the waitress that she was on her own that evening and other staff were away. She did exceptionally well in the circumstances!

We unfortunately had a lady next to us speaking very loudly on her phone and she had it on speaker which was very annoying - it was whilst she waited for takeaway (lasted about 20 minutes) after she had eaten in. Other than that we love Wooden Spice.

Simply the best food. My go toos are chicken satay, Javanese chicken, massaman curry and the wagyu beef ribs - so so delicious. And service is warm and friendly. Best on the beaches:)

I have been eating here every month for years with a group of Mum’s. It is always beautiful food and we always can’t wait to come back. The Mussaman Beef and Fish Sambal are absolutely delicious.

Wow, wow, wow - great tasting Asian Fusion with amazing service. Always warmly welcomed by Rebecca and her team. My husband and I shared two dishes for main course - a wagyu beef ribs and a Javanese chicken. Both their specialties and excellent - flavour, heat, spice. The wagyu beef ribs fall off the bone and have the most amazing amount of heat - so so delicous. The Javanese chicken is my all time favourite - simply stunning. Both are good portion sizes. Some steamed rice was a great accompaniment for both. We love going to Wooden Spice - a short walk across the park. And BYO.

Wow, wow, wow! Absolutely loved our visit to Wooden Spice. Warmly welcomed by Rachel and her team. We started off with chicken satay - 4 sticks all with generous, delicious and succulent chicken pieces and topped with satay sauce - the perfect start. We shared two dishes for main course - a massaman beef curry and a chicken kung pao. Both were excellent, however the massaman beef curry was simply incredible - soft, melt in your mouth beef, potatoes and a tasty massaman curry sauce. And good portion sizes. Some steamed rice was a great accompaniment for both. We were pleasantly surprised by our dining experience at Wooden Spice - a short walk across the park - and will certainly go back. And BYO.

The food here is always flavoursome and generous serves ..the restaurant itself is just a bit hot in summer ..needs some air conditioning since there’s no outside seating it gets a bit stuffy and unpleasant..but the food is reliably good!
