We had to wait a long time for our food and the food was not great, partly undercooked and partly not very tasty. But the staff were lovely

Service was amazing but the food was terrible - we had dinner at the Carousel 2 Fat Indians where the food was unbelievable which is why I booked the one in Highgate having concert tickets at the Astor theatre after - but the food didn't taste good at all - so no I won't be going back there !!!

I had not been to 2 Fat Indians at this location. One of my friends had not been before and she loved the whole experience. The food, service and vibe was/is still as good as the last time I’d been. The fav is always the butter chicken. Was a great night!

Been here numerous times before. We love the food and will be returning again soon. The meals are always so deliciously filling, that we end up taking the left overs home. Highly recommended

An enjoyable night, good food, attentive service and great location.

The food was very good and so tasty and because of this, we would have probably wanted a bit more serving of our mains. The chicken sauce was delicious and paired well with the rice and naan bread. A few suggestions though, a normal size teaspoons would have been sufficient rather than a long handled teaspoons for the sauces of our appetisers. It made it awkward to rest and put it down. Although it was absolutely fine to be ask by a staff member of how our food were going, to be asked every so often by at least 3 different staff can be a bit bothersome. I also didn’t like the fact that they were so quick in clearing up my husband’s plate when clearly, I am still eating and not finished. I find it unnecessary and rude as well because he wasn’t asked if it’s ok to take his plate.

The service is fantastic and the food is delicious. We have had something different each time snd every dish has been so tasty. The portions are generous. It has a nice atmosphere too.

Now in the old Meatball Bar building, the new TFI is in a better spot than previously, with the big French doors lending to a nice vantage point of Beaufort St, and a nice breeze to boot. Walked in for an early reservation to an empty restaurant though the online orders were doing a roaring trade. Note: if you order takeaway here there is no apparatus to keep the food hot, it’s all plonked on the bar where it can sit for up to half an hour before being collected. Back to our meal and the starters of Spicy Popcorn chicken and chilli scallops came out. The chicken was over spiced and had no discernible taste but the scallops were very good. Mains of prawn biryani, butter chicken and a tandoori roti were all top notch and very tasty. The biryani was only half eaten and when we asked to take it home we were presented with a couple of containers and told to “do it ourselves”. This is a small thing but they weren’t overly busy and didn’t seem interested or overly attentive, with most focus put on their takeaways. For the price here you do expect better.

Friendly service. Good choices on the menu. Prompt service of the food which was good as we were going to a show just down the road at the astor. Food was tasty, keema naan, malaki dalh, goan fish curry.

Very hot evening and air con inside restaurant was either struggling or not turned up high enough - very uncomfortable to be so warm and trying to eat curry! Sat next to a window, flies and little bugs buzzing around our food constantly. Saw a pigeon walking out of the kitchen on arrival too. Food was tasty but unsure of hygiene practices.

Service was impeccable - we were on a tight timeframe so unfortunately couldn't stay to finish our delicious meal but the staff kept us informed of wait times and offered solutions as well as did all they could to get our food out fast. Unfortunately they were busy with a big booking and lots of takeaway orders but we appreciated their transparency and kindness.
