Had to remind waiting staff 3 times (over a 30 minute period) that grand-daughter had not received her dessert, we got our 6 main courses in less time than that...shouldn't take that long to warm up a Sticky Date Pudding! She was refunded the money!!!!!

We really enjoyed our visit the food was good the service excellent . we did visit the pokies that was overwhelming everything was so loud machines music, it was difficult to hear yourself think.

Food took a very long time to come. Then 3 of our 5 meals came while the other two came 10 minutes later.

The new Amstel is outstanding. The renovations look amazing- so classy, and the food was delicious. Will definitely be back.

Unfortunately our experience at the new Amstel Club was not as good as we'd hoped. We were a small group of 10, meals took a long time to arrive, entrees were served after the mains came out. The food was either overcooked, steaks ordered medium were very well done, other meals were cold, a Vegan meal was served with chicken. These issues were addressed by the supervisor on duty, but not satisfactorily. The environment is incredibly noisy. They've got a long way to go. Won't be rushing back anytime soon.

Been a few times and normally it’s good but after paying $42 for the tomahawk steak and it not coming with any sauce (Menu said it came with a red wine jus) it was pretty disappointing and dry and didn’t ask as it was already luke warm when arriving. Also one entree came out and the other only after we asked came out with the mains.

The steak and vegies were cooked to perfection. Great meal.

All show and no go - the 'new' venue is nicely renovated and facility looks great on face value - value for money is good.... HOWEVER the visit with friends for dinner was disappointing - the ambient noise level in the bistro area was incredibly loud to the point our party could not conduct normal conversation. The sun was streaming through the windows into our eyes - no blinds on the windows. I ordered steak which came our rare instead of medium and it was a poor quality cut of meat. Wait time for meals was long and bar wait time for drinks was long at times.

It was our first Visit to Amstel and found it very noisy , but we will come back when the Rest off the Building is finished , hopefully soon . Food and Service outstanding .

Never again, waited over an hour for food, came cold! Had to yell all night to be heard, acoustics are dreadful.

The noise level is really loud and difficult to hear others talking to you. The square tables are very small for grown adult to sit at and the staff didn't seem to care. We needed to put menu etc.... on the floor which can be unsafe for other visitors and staff.

Food was great, the new bistro is bright and inviting but quite a lot of noise. Kids loved the play area. A varied menu.

Staff are very helpful and friendly. Food was fantastic however the noise level in the restaurant made it very difficult to hold a conversation. I was surprised mid week that so many children were there.
