The Venue was very good, it had a kids play area that is quite good but the food isn’t quite five star quality. Emphasis Is on quantity not quality.

A lovely refurbishment which offers a family friendly experience. There was a really good choice of meal options. The service was very good with hardly any waiting time.

Had to wait some minutes to be seated. no staff on duty at entrance. Bistro far too noisy, Food very nice but could have been warmer, was cold before we finished eating.

We had dinner last night and a huge group of 28 of us . The meals were huge great value for money and the service was so quick. Kids meals were literally served within 5 minutes and the mains weren’t far behind. The play room kept the kids entertained all night also. And the staff was so friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back.

Very noisy and meals didn't come at the same time. One person had to wait another 10 minutes

My daughter loves to go on a Tuesday night as there is kids entertainment and a new play area for the rugrats.

Amstel have beautiful food....but you have to stand in line far too long to order....we stood in line for over 20 minutes.

Amstel was very busy as Monday is 2 for price of 1. It really should have table service in my opinion.

Great steak but I'm a big eater. Prefer my steak to be 300 grams or over. Not 250 grams which is on offer for steak night. But great place to have dinner

It was our first time to the restaurant and the lady that guided us to our table did not explain where we were to order. I assumed my order would be taken at the table but that was not the case. I would advise that people are advised when they are taken to their table.

Great food, service and prices but very noisy and sitting near a door that wasn't closed anytime someone walked in or out was extremley frustrating.

Happy with food but didn't like where we were seated right near the door where smokers go constinently had people coming in and out while we ate cold wind and the smell of smoke not ideal not a good idea.

Great food and the kids loved the Tuesday kids night. The wait to order is very slow they have 2 registers and only ever use one, it can take up to 20 minutes to place your order.

Thought security at front desk could of been more welcoming. Service and food in bistro is of a good standard. Very happy.

Another fantastic evening at Amstel. Can’t recommend highly enough. Great atmosphere, service and value for money.

We selected Amstel on the Friday night for the famous five night. Being our first time to come on the Friday night for this special, we had to ask three waitresses what the deal was about. When we finally thought we had the special down right, ask the menu didn’t have the special listed, but the special was listed on the advertising board upon entry and on the table. When we went to order, we were informed by the head waitress that what I had been informed by the staff was in fact incorrect and that that special was no longer happening. So back to the table to work out what to order. Put a damper on the night out, especially when we choose Amstel for their advertised special, to be told by staff about the special, to then go and order the ‘specials’, to then be told, ‘no we don’t do that special any more’ - get your act together and sort It out. It’s not the customers job! No apologies ether from the head waitress, just clearly I was in the wrong, she was extremely RUDE! - remove YOUR advertising, and inform YOUR staff! Disappointing. The food that we did order, away from the non existent, advertised Famous Five Special, and on the new menu was really nice.

we took both of our mums out for dinner 💐 it was a very nice night, we all loved our meals.

Food and service good, but a bit on the noisy side

The staff were fantastic, polite and helpful. There are two registers set up where you can order meals. I have been to the updated restaurant twice now and only one of the registers has been used. Tonight’s queue to order food was very long but still only the one register opened so it took a long time to order. Meals took a while to come out but they were delicious and big servings.
