Just off Liverpool Road, the small but completely dedicated team at Bacco Re do everything they can to make their guests happy, the restaurant itself is stylish and rustic and the menu, well, it’s pasta and pizza done absolutely right. The food at Bacco Re has a great reputation in Enfield and indeed other surrounding areas of Sydney, and as we’re assuming the food is why you’re here, we’ll get straight to it. Begin your visit to Liverpool Road with traditional antipasti, mixed and paired however you like best. We were particular fans of the swordfish rolls with a light Italian-style breadcrumb, the arancini Siciliani, and the Australian mussels with white wine, garlic, black pepper, parsley and lemon. Alternatively, Bacco Re sure know how to make a refreshing salad, or put together a sharing plate.
You won’t find better pasta dishes at any other Italian restaurant in Enfield. There, we said it and we’re not sorry. Dishes like the homemade tortellini stuffed with salmon and saffron cream and prawns really do put a smile on your face, as does the daily risotto special. In terms of pizza, most are classically-topped and you have the option of either a mozzarella base, pizza bianche, or tomato and mozzarella, pizze rosse. Bacco Re really is worth the trip from just about anywhere in Sydney, and it’s absolutely worth reserving a table in advance.
