Very friendly service, very nice food and great wine selection. Have Gluten free and Vegan options. We had a great time, would definitely go back.

Had the Wednesday $25 sangiovese and spit roast special (the spit roast was porchetta) was delicious and fantastic value. Also, ordered some octopus and mozzarella/leek gratin. The octopus was cooked a little inconsistently, but delicious char flavour. The gratin was fabulous, especially when paired with the spit roast. Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant. Some inconsistency with wait staff quality.

The room is lovely. The service was good, though I object to being called 'darling'. The waiter memorised our (large) order instead of writing it down, then forgot one meal. A lot of the food was very disappointing. Tough, dried out lamb must have been pre-cooked (the day before?) and the beef was tough and over-flavoured. A too sweet chocolate biscuit sandwich would have benefitted from some cream or ice cream. House wines are a nice touch and at $40 per bottle much cheaper than the rest of the wine list. Overall, disappointing.

The food was delicious and came out quickly. The lovely waitress was patient with our big table and her service was perfect. The atmosphere was inviting and not too loud but busy. Would definitely return

Excellent service The food was splendid We asked for advice about the wines and were happy that the suggestion of the house wine was offered . It was the cheapest on the menu and was a nice soft Sangiovese More often than not restaurants try to get you to take the dearest wines!

We ordered and waited a short time for the food to arrive. The food was spectacular. Furthermore the staff were friendly and the restaurant atmosphere was very vibrant.

We had the most delightful dining experience at Baccomatto Osteria. We both had pasta (handmade) which came with an excellent wine recommendation. Warmth of the staff made this place wonderful - 100% will be back!

They have a pre-theatre menu which was tasty and very enjoyable. The service was quick. I loved the ham hanging letting you know the treat in store.

Excellent service. Staff make you feel welcome. They were accommodating with portion sizes for our odd-numbered party. Meatballs are amazing - like my grandmother's. Will be back.

Great service, great atmosphere and most importantly great food! Want break the budget. A good place to have a relaxed, informal time in a non-pretentious atmosphere.

This place is awesome, great food, fabulous staff and atmosphere. I was there with two friends to catch up and we had a great time. I highly recommend this place.

Service was fine, ambience was buzzing. Food looked nice but honestly tasted average. Expected more from a 1 chef hat restaurant. I’ve had better from a non chef hated restaurant. We had the chargrilled octopus, cuttlefish pasta and marinated kingfish. Again, it wasn’t bad but i wouldn’t go back and it wouldn’t be on my list of recommendations

Excellent food and exceptional service from the waitstaff. I ordered a steak which was nicely flavoured and well executed while my friend ordered a special of the day-fish, which tasted really good as well. Would visit again.

We had lunch at Baccomatto and chose for the pasta + vino special. The pasta of the day was delicious and the service was great. We only paid 20 dollars for pasta and a good glass of wine, a bargain!

Great food. The Caprese could be the best in town. Real, authentic Italian. I genuinely love this restaurant and look forward to returning. However, I was surprised that, in a very quiet restaurant other guests were seated so close to us, during a very quiet time.. which led to us having to filter our chat and ensure we were not heard, which was tricky at times.

Still one of my favorite places in Surry hills. Stunning modern Italian food. Wonderful welcoming staff and atmosphere. Always a treat to visit. Book, but go early and start with an Aperol spritz to get you in the mood.

Fabulous night out! Staff are very attentive and friendly. The 1 kilo T-bone steak (to be shared) was the star of the evening: perfectly cooked and tender, with a rich layer of flavourful fat. Delicious! Great selection of Italian wines with some very good Australian choices, as well.

We always dine out as a group and Baccomatto is the ONLY restaurant we all agree is an incredible dining experience. The staff are the very best - Carol, Emma-Jane, Michelle, Zan..........

I had the best pasta of my life!!!! Squid ink ravioli filled with cuttlefish. To top it all of we had an amazing chocolate fondant and started with the perfect cheese suggested by the waiter

Location really nice. Food and Drinks ok. The Pasta wasn’t as I was aspected. It didn’t tast as a home made fresh pasta. Antipasti were greats. I loved the “tagliere”. Good deal for Monday Night with the Specials plus wine. Desserts very good.

Great atmosphere in restaurant, with a positive buzz. Staff were attentive and knowledgeable, especially around the mainly italian wine list. Entrees were able to be shared and the carpaccio and spicy salami we're highlights. For main I ordered the pork cutlet, which was a good size and beautifullly cooked, and had me chewing the bone. An excellent dining experience.

Great food! Always consistent quality! Well worth a visit! Wide variety of fresh pasta, fish, seafood and meat dishes. Wine list is also excellent. Great atmosphere.

The food, the service and the front of house greeting all add up to another great experience at this restaurant. Time wise we were a late eating party but we were still treated with the same enthusiasm as if we had sat down at early evening. Truly professional

Excellent in every way. The waiter was even alert to not clearing the plates until the last person had finished eating. I know of no other place in Sydney where that etiquette is practiced.

Beautiful food cooked with love. We had the duck and lamb shoulder. Finishing at a high with tiramisu. Warm welcoming service. Will definitely be back.
