The staff were all very happy and nice, and the food was not bad. It wasn't as high quality as I expected, but still good. The prices were maybe a bit high for what was served. The waiters were really slow, we waited at least 15 minutes before they came around to take our order. Overall not too bad, but not amazing either.

The food is delicious, interesting and not your run-of-the-mill Italian. Friendly and attentive staff who always make you feel welcome. One of the best Italian restaurants in Sydney. They should have a hat.

Went for the first time on our anniversary, great venue, great service, food was fantastic. Had the Octopus sopressa and the Duck was the best I’ve ever tasted. Definitely be back here!

Food was fabulous, service impeccable, a wonderful evening on a busy valentine's day. We led off with the meatballs and then had the pesto spaghetti and the linguine with clams. Both were Wow.

Main course Excellent !!. Dessert : excellent !!. Véritable food italien. We have order liguine bottarga, lamb, eggplant, artishohes. Mozzarella di buffala. White wine good.

Overall experience is very good, food was great, staff introduces the special menu and desserts were superb! That is a must try, wine is good too! Espresso Martini is the best!

A local gem and every visit never fails to impress! An ever updated phenomenal menu and the service is really second to none. Do not visit without have an appetiser, a main and a dessert!

Baccomatto Osteria in Surry Hills always delivers the best service and food. Hadn’t been for ages and forgot how good this place is. The wagyu tartare sandwich was incredible As was the beetroot ravioli and braised pork in honey and beer with fresh herbs, the special of the night. The wine list is not huge but offers a great selection. Highly recommend if you love good genuine Italian food and vino and lovely staff.

Modern Italian that hasn’t forgotten its traditions. Clean minimalist space with caring professional service. Balanced wine list with some gems. Staff happy to help you discover some surprises. Highly recommended

Always excellent from the moment you walk in until the time you leave, friendly staff who are entirely across a menu that shifts with the season, great daily specials and able to give tips on the extensive wine list too. Last night i had the fried egg on asparagus and smoked ricotta, it was a triumph and surprisingly light, perfect for midsummer in Sydney

Baccomatto Osteria is one of my favourite restaurants in Sydney. The food is consistently exceptional and delivered with exceptional service and joy. Their staff (many of whom have been there for years) are passionate and knowledgeable, and present with good grace and humour. Wine list very reasonable. Seasonal specials are always well excecuted as well as the old favourites on the menu. I love bringing guests to Sydney here - and they always walk away impressed.
