Excellent food, excellent service, reasonably priced. The only thing that would make it better is some sound deadening- the noise level is very high and makes it difficult to those at one’s table.

Excellent, as I requested a peaceful table and I certainly got it. The waiter was a professional personal butler, could not fault the service. The food and wine was of a very high standard. we loved the classic good service feel of the place. Very good food, nice large table, very attentive and professional service. We were a little surprised there were no Asians eating there - mainly older non-Asians which makes us feel Bamboo House has settled for wealthy, older white customers rather than younger multi-national. It felt a bit like nothing has changed there since the mid 20th century. However, it was special occasion for us, and we had the $98 banquet and a good bottle of wine and thoroughly enjoyed the evening

Booked a table for a quick lunch just based off high review count glancing on Google Maps in the area. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in the door and it was very well appointed with great staff and excellent service. I had the wontons and dumplings that were extremely reasonably priced and a nice glass of red. This place would be great for a romantic date night or business lunch. Very impressed.

All was amazing as always. Out flight was delayed so had to push back our reservation by half an hour which they were happy to accomodate.

The calamari appetiser was oily and cool as though the fryer had just been turned on, and it had no flavour. The peking duck was ok. The rice had no flavour, was cool to tepid in temperature and must have been prepared long beforehand. The spinach dish was ok. The desert of fried ice cream was covered in gluggy excessively sweet batter (tasted like palm oil). To top it all off the waiter showed no emotion and was close to silent for the 1.5 hours, and when I was asked by the waitress who cleaned away the dishes "how was I meal", I said "not good and its no wonder there are no chinese people eating here tonight" to which she replied "well its probably good for someone else to cook and wash up for you". She had no interest in why I was an unhappy customer. What a disaster.

Food and service, wines ambience etc wast excellent only criticism is that the food was a little on the cool side. Otherwise highly recommended have been here many many times, love the maître d she is the BEST
