Bamboo House restaurant

All was amazing as always. Out flight was delayed so had to push back our reservation by half an hour which they were happy to accomodate.

An excellent venue for great food and service and a pre theatre dinner.

Food and service were both amazing!!! My mother and I are vegetarians and often find it hard to eat out places with many options but the food here was amazing. Have been a couple of times now and will definitely return!

The calamari appetiser was oily and cool as though the fryer had just been turned on, and it had no flavour. The peking duck was ok. The rice had no flavour, was cool to tepid in temperature and must have been prepared long beforehand. The spinach dish was ok. The desert of fried ice cream was covered in gluggy excessively sweet batter (tasted like palm oil). To top it all off the waiter showed no emotion and was close to silent for the 1.5 hours, and when I was asked by the waitress who cleaned away the dishes "how was I meal", I said "not good and its no wonder there are no chinese people eating here tonight" to which she replied "well its probably good for someone else to cook and wash up for you". She had no interest in why I was an unhappy customer. What a disaster.

Food and service, wines ambience etc wast excellent only criticism is that the food was a little on the cool side. Otherwise highly recommended have been here many many times, love the maître d she is the BEST

Amazing staff, fantastic food & the wine was great. The trio of scallops was a stand out.

Disappointed at the service. Mistakes on orders which is easy to do. Instead of accepting that a mistake was made, they argued about it. I have been a regular but will not be coming back.

Had a great experience at Bamboo House - food was fantastic, especially the Peking Duck. Service was excellent too. The only downside was that the table of 4 men next to us was very noisy so made it hard to hear each other.

Our first visit to Bamboo House restaurant and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meal. From the calamari starter to our main course of scallops in XL and garlic sauce everything was prepared perfectly. Good service as well throughout the evening.

Service was great, however food quality has declined over the years. It felt like the Peking duck was from a prior day and not at all fresh. Other meals were nothing special. As mentioned, the staff were lovely and very attentive.

The food is always consistently great at Bamboo House so I'm never disappointed. However, my only minor grumble would be the fact that the chef didn't carve the duck in front of us & it was pre-cut into pieces. Other than that, the peking duck was still sensational - juicy flesh, flavoursome crispy skin with proper handmade pancakes (that were not thin crepes).

Service and food were top notch. Everyone had an enjoyable night though it was a little noisy from other tables - still alright. its a bit pricey but you get what you pay.

IT WAS V NOISY AND BUSY WHICH WAS OK. WE PURCHASED A BOTTLE OF WINE WHICH WAS NOT FINISHED AND THE STAFF FORGOT TO GIVE IT TO US
