We love the Black Hill Hotel. We will be back again.

Food was delicious. Staff were friendly and obliging. Lovely decor and atmosphere.

Went here for a wedding anniversary & birthday. The oysters are gynormous & the kilpatrick sauce just perfect. Follow that up with chilli prawn fettucine & a 300g porterhouse steak with a fantastic dianne sauce. Then top it all off with the affogato & the chocolate ooze cake. Staff were exceptional & took into account allergies. Hands down the best dining experience since we moved to Ballarat. Top shelf Black Hill!!!

Arrived at 7.00 pm for our booking - made our meal order by 7.15. Entree arrived an hour and a quarter later - one person got their entree after everyone else had finished their's. Main meal arrived at 9.00 pm. Sadly, would not return. Waitress was rushed off her feel and did the best she could. Clearly, not enough staff to attend to their guests.

It took over 15 minutes after we were seated before the girl came to get our order, then it took another 40 minutes before we received our food, delivered by the cook! Dining room was only half full so number’s weren’t the issue. Otherwise food was good.

We had dinner on Palma Night. The choices of Arma’s is great guys! If I could make a small suggestion, the chicken was slightly overcooked, dried out, can we please have the Palma’s coked just a little bit less so they are nice and tender and juicy please? I had the Mexican, I loved this variety and all four of us agreed they could be cooked just a little less. I hope you are not offended with our comments. We love coming to your venue for dinner.

Booking was simple and straightforward.. our request was granted for a corner table.. amazing to get table service in a Pub for food order. Would go back again .. it would be my go to if I lived here. Worth a visit.

6:30 arrived. Ordered 6:40. Served food 8:00. Under cooked Pizza. Calamari too salty.
