The staff were very polite and professional. They turned off the music in our corner for us so we could hear one another speak, which was really appreciated. Our in line booking had not been recorded by the staff so a table had to be prepared for us.

The food and service was excellent. Highly recommend for a dinner with friends as they have a variety of options on the menu to suit every budget or taste.

Food, drinks and location were great. We enjoyed! However, we sat really end of the restaurant so it was bit difficult to find the staffs.

For starters had the italian meatballs which had a very nice balance of flavours, highly recommend the duck rissotto for main course it was delicious. expresso martini was really good, friendly, professional staff

I had a lovely lunch at Blue Train last weekend. My pasta dish was delicious and glass of White Sheep Sauvignon Blanc was enjoyable which l will definitely order again. The customer service was quick and professional. Always a great place to visit for a bite to each when you are on your way to the NGV and the Melbourne Art Centre.

We went for a quick pre theatre meal and had vege, beef burgers and a pizza. We all enjoyed our meals! Staff and venue all very nice.

Staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. Two for one cocktails on Friday was also a nice surprise! We arrived earlier than our booking, but staff accommodated us without trouble.

Good casual venue particularly for groups or families. The views are beautiful, good service and offers a bar for a before or after dinner drink.

Friendly staff made us feel welcome, hut the food was cold and wine arrived when we had almost finished our main courses. Other drinks very slow too.

Everything was perfect. We were a table of ten with three of us having our birthday on the night. Service was great. Food too. Everyone was happy. The only thing I would love to change is the noise level...but even that wasn't too bad compared to many other places. Thanks for a great night

Good place to go with kids as noisey and relaxed with a children's menu. Service was not as fast as I rembered the last time I was here but was a busy night over the Grand Prix weekend

We came as a group. The meals were delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were impressed with the prompt service. A great experience all around.

Good experience overall but to be fussy, here are some comments. Good atmosphere, albeit on average, with noise level, a bit difficult to have conversations. Coffee was acceptable but not memorable. Fish (barramundi) dish was good in terms of presentation but taste wasn't a feature. Kifler potatoes were a touch on the hard side. Food prices are good and reasonable. Regular water re-fills without having to ask are good. Despite this, I still like the restaurant.

We were missing a waiter. Slow to take orders, then slow to get meals, and couldn't get a staff members attention to get another drink. Where were the waiters??????

Love the food and atmosphere of this place! everyone enjoyed their meal as it was very fresh and the drinks were good as well. Great view of the river.

Great dining experience for all ages. Kids were catered for really well and the wine list was perfect for the grown ups ;-). Will go back again with or with out kids!

Very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Good food! Child friendly too! Despite being packed we could all heaar each other and engage in conversations. Attentive and friendly staff.

The staff there were very friendly and even though there was a slight mix up with an order the staff were happy to help sort it out without any issues. We will be back

Took the kids and had a great meal, everybody was happy. The classic Dahl was perfect, kids shared a lot of smaller dishes and explored some things they would not normally have.

i was there as part of a group and we all had a great time and a great meal. the only little thing wrong was that my steak was a bit over cooked - instead of medium rare, there was no rare only medium. besides that a great day had by all. would recommend that you give it ago.

Great food, good variety of options, great service, quick (as we were going to the theatre) and brilliant view! Highly recommend if visiting south gate.

Food was good, enjoyed the chicken burger I had and I liked that I could go up to bar to purchase drinks. Didn't like that you can't split bills...wth a table of 7 it's a bit annoying to have one person pay that full amount. Why can't every one pay individually and the restaurant accomodate this.
