Was extremely busy..had to wait over an hour for meals. Food was ok and staff very helpful.

We love Blue Train, especially if there is a group of us. They handle a large table with a high level of professional hospitality. The only issue for us oldies is the sound/noise level, but that only means we have to talk louder. The result is we go somewhere else for a coffee to finish the night. This may work for this restaurant to suit its high turnover.

Food was a bit expensive at $35 for lamb that was on the small side. My friends meals were below average and unappealing. One got pad Thai and could not eat it as it had too much chilli. Another had a burger that had way too much sauce. My lamb was ok and cooked perfectly to a medium just the way I like it. However when I ordered I was not asked how I wanted it. Lucky me. The lamb was under seasoned but there was salt available on table. Location was great.

Bluetrain were very accommodating for our big group. Very easy to book and were happy to add extra numbers to our booking.

Food was luke warm. Was not told calamari didn't come as main meal when I ordered it as main meal was starving hungry. Not nearly as good as past experiences will not go back there again

Food is not as good as it used to be - battered fish had bones and scales and batter was very dark

One of our group ordered the steak dish that was supposed to be thinly sliced, hence not being able to be cooked more than medium. She was disappointed as the slices we’re in fact still relatively thick, suggesting the meat could have been cooked longer. As a result, the meat was medium to rare, not to her liking, so she swapped with another in the group. She found the steak a little tough with no steak knife provided. The rest of the food was quite delicious.

The staff were all lovely but the food was over priced and rather average. We did make a comment to that effect to the nice waitress who looked after us. Nothing she could do and nothing we expected either. Just had hoped for better quality food.

Staff friendly. Bit noisey at front bar but we got great table overlooking River. Food good.

Main Food was lovely, although kitchen closes too early so not given an opportunity to order dessert from menu. Mice (plural!) running around in restaurant towards end of night was a shock surprise.

Food menu has someone for everyone and everything is perfectly generic. Nothing is offensive, but there's nothing mind blowing about this place either. You'll leave full but not inspired.

Not sure why I came back here - it’s conveniently close to the Arts Centre and Recital Centre, but yet again, we were ignored at the door and had to flag someone down after several minutes, then flag down a waiter to order, then physically walk up to another waiter to check on our food. All up, it took an hour for lunch to arrive. There are much cheaper and better places nearby. It was just as disappointing as last time and the time before that. (Pretty embarrassed I gave Bluetrain a third chance, to be honest!) Definitely won’t be coming back and I’ll advise others to steer clear, too.
