pleasant venue with excellent service and good food and wine

Food & Service were very good. Unfortunately the Item I wanted on the Menu was not available, but what I had was good.

The service was really friendly, and the food was delicious!

Overall good experience & great food. Personally I loved my steak! The only 2 issues were when they mucked up one friends order, he had ordered 2 burgers for himself & his partner. The waiter only ordered 1 burger, so the group had finished all meals when the other burger had arrived. Also 1 other of my friends was told that his meal wouldn’t be vegan after the menu stated it would be & then had to chose another meal instead. This meant he had too wait also a long time for his meal to arrive.

There was really bad service and the food was cold

Meals took forever - tell the customers you have an unexpected delay, before they have to ask you. 1 meal wasn’t ordered - count how many meals to a table before you finish placing your order with the kitchen Birthday request forgotten - no acknowledgement after telling staff After advising no candle in birthday child’s dessert - apologies made but no candle offered I’ve gone to the kitchen to ask for a candle, I’m given a candle with no way to light it. Ask for lit candle. Place it in melted ice cream myself. Guys a seriously! We’ve been coming to you for 20 years, since we were young and never hadn’t an experience like this. Oh wait, but one of your staff managed to continually ask us if we wanted clean plates (we hadn’t eaten yet) removed and took my wine glass before my last sip was done. If you’re going to be this pedantic maybe make sure your service is delivering minimum expectations.

It was our first experience going to Bluetrain and we'd definitely go again. The restaurant was loud and you had to shout a bit to be heard talking to your fellow diners, and the food was a bit pricey for some dishes but overall it was great.

Friendly staff, good food selection. We had the share plate which was good value for money.

730 booking; food was great, service poor. no 2nd drinks order, by the time waitress finally came back for dessert options kitchen was closed.
