Botticelli Ristorante & Bar

We have been regular patrons of Botticelli for years. How disappointing it was to find their new renovations were so terrible, nothing to make you feel you were in Italy but instead paintings of Australian bush ! Now the menu, gone were their specials of pasta, glass of wine etc, but instead overpriced meals. We loved to go for their wonderful veal dishes which were accompanied by a platter of delicious roasted vegetables.However now dishes are $41 and you have to purchase vegetables which would bring main course up to over $50 ! Sorry Salvatore we won't be back, you've changed what wasn't broken, for the worse and I'm afraid it apppears you have become greedy. A very disappointed regular customer.

My wife and I go often especially for Birthdays. The service is always top-notch and the food is the same. The new decor is very nice.

Botticelli;s was incredibly noisy and patrons were tightly packed in with not much space between tables. It was difficult to hold a conversation over the noise. The food was overpriced but good quality - however it is a place where you have to pay extra for every little thing - chips, vegetables, salad etc so this makes the meal quite expensive unless you settle for risotto or pasta. And then to top it off, we had to pay a surcharge to pay by credit card. I won't be going back .

Great food and attentive staff. Pity our favourites were missing. Salmon bruschetta and rack of lamb. Updated decor looks fabulous and the menu is extensive.

Dinner was pleasant without being spectacular. No bread was served. Plates were huge and we struggled to fit them on our small table. Cafe style chairs were not particularly sturdy or comfortable.

Food was generous and delicious . Staff and service wa prompt and very helpful. Restaurant was very noisy, which made it difficult to talk to others.

We had a fabulous night great service and great food. The menu has a fabulous selection of food - we were dining with a vegan and she was able to find two courses that easily met her needs.

Food as usual was plentiful and delicious. Service was excellent too Disappointed tables on the street were not put out but guess weather could have been going to be unpleasant

As a family we have enjoyed multiple visits to Botticelli. Food is fantastic, service great, we will continue to visit when we feel like some traditional Italian cuisine.

Excellent food, great prices, gluten free options available, great service, definitely recommend, felt like we were back in Italy, amazing!! Definitely attend again soon !

Had a lovely $25 Pasta meal which included a glass of wine and side salad, plus we shared a minestrone soup which was delicious. They also sent an email with a free dessert offer for my birthday. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Thank you

Simply beautiful. The service and attention from staff was faultless. Our meals were excellent. Value for money was just right. And the atmosphere was excellent.

Great food selection, menu choices and quality. The menu is extensive and offers a range of great Italian food. Our group had a selection on Oysters, soups, pastas, scallops and it has hard to fault.

Was not very impressed, expected more?? Waiter did not even offer for us to taste our wine and we ordered 2 bottles a white and red. Did not mention specials. Food was ok.

Uaually one of our favourite local restaurants however on this occasion the duck ravioli was not as enjoyable as on previous evenings - the pasta was quite firm and heavy - almost chewy on the edges - not a pleasant texture. The sage and merlot sauce was lovely though. I had the baked prawns & avocado in a mornay sauce with a green salad. Very enjoyable. We enjoyed a lovely New Zealand Pinot with the meal. For dessert - We shared a Crepe Suzettet with a coffee - we would recommend this restaurant.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Meals were excellent as was the ambience of the restaurant. Bathrooms were very clean. Would and have recommended the restaurant to family and friends

Food was nice enough without being amazing. Service was a little slow. Not quick to offer drinks. A little pricey for the quality of the food. Overall a little better than ok but not great.

This is the fourth time we’ve been here and every time the food has been great and service very good. Certainly to be recommended !

Broad and interesting menu. The dishes were wonderful - and lovely presentation. The excellent service made it a meal to remember. Would definitely go there again.

Very nice evening. great atmosphere, service and food👍. We ordered the daily specials x2 and it was more than enough which included glass of wine each plus we had the yummy apple crumble cheese cake👍

Tasty food. Wide selection to chose from.Waiters left a bit to desired. Promptly attended but a very unwelcoming attitude from our waiter. Made you feel like a nuisance.

Service was poor. Restaurant too hot on a very hot night. Mix up with account (charged for drinks not ordered) was not dealt with well.

Great food, especially the seafood. Best linguini marinara for some time. Staff were very pleasant.Looked after one of us with gluten free requirement. Will certainly return.

it was stunning sitting outside on a 22C day - inside, when the front glass doors are closed, sad to say, it is too noisy. But today, not a problem.

We couldn't fault the food it was first class, but the service was very poor! Staff were quite friendly, but inefficient. We constantly had to ask for water refills, we had to wave down staff for extra wine orders & dessert. Nobody told us the specials, but we noticed a blackboard & one of our party ordered from it, only to be told the item was unavailable! Well why not rub it off the specials board? 😱 Even when we wanted the bill, we had to get the attention of a staff member who was behind the bar on a phone! Disappointing considering we spent a considerable sum of money & enjoyed the food!

We had not been to this restaurant for many years. Recently I have been going to the sister Restaurant, Via Campanella in Glenhuntly Rd, Elsternwick. 5 times since mid December, and I am very glad to say that Botticelli is equally enjoyable and has a very similar Menu and specials. I chose Seafood risotto as the main course. It was a delightful mix of various seafood and fish, rice and white wine, with great flavours and an ample serving.Once again the service was great.

Food was great and came out quickly. There was a dinner special Mon-Thur that I thought was great value (pasta + salad + wine). Highly recommend.

We went for a early dinner on the weekend. The food was really well done and service was great. Really enjoyed the fried seafood entre of prawns and octopus.

Expensive, but for a restaurant with that reputation in Brighton it's not surprising. Food was good, but nothing special, same with wine. Probably a bit old fashioned, in their menu and style. Reliable is a word I would use to describe it.

As usual it was a lovely meal in very pleasant surrounds and the Valentine decorations were a nice touch. Thanks for making our Valentines Day special.
