Amazing authentic family restaurant with great service and delicious food

Sat for 20 mins before we were offered a menu or a drink after prompting them. After that service improved and food was great, however there was a sliver of steel wool in my meal which I showed them. No offer of recompense was made

Restaurant was empty at lunchtime. Only 2 other people dining as I was finishing up. Waiter did the bare essentials and was polite. Seemed like he had better things to do like take a personal call while working and make himself unavailable when needed. Food was freshly prepared. Maybe go at dinnertime.

My partner and I dined here for an early dinner and everything about it is incredible! The atmosphere, decor, service were all immaculate. The waitstaff were incredibly friendly, and extremely helpful when we asked them any questions we had. I got the Gnocchi Arrabiata and my partner got the Pansotti di ricotta e spinaci. Both were absolutely to die for!! The pasta was made in-house fresh on the day, and the dishes were perfect, from flavour to texture to presentation. I could not recommend an Italian test more than this one.

The Lasagna was more like an average tasting cafeteria bought lasagna. Being a lasagna from an Italian rated restaurant, we expected more. The veal scallopini with mushrooms was ok but no wow factor.

The pasta made my wife and I sick… we came back home feeling awful and terrible stomach ache.

We didn’t enjoy our meals at capriccios risotto was tasteless 2 meals had so much chilli u couldn’t taste anything else.. the service was not good at all the waiter spilt a glass of wine on one of us.. got the drink order wrong twice very disappointed as we hadn’t been there for a few year and was looking forward to it.

Disappointing - food was average - ravioli slopped with sauce on plate. Previously heard good reports but maybe off night.

Food was rather pedestrian. Powdered parmesan cheese, bland pasta and sauces were way below expectations. Perhaps they have specific meals they are good at, but with our Italian heritage, we were disappointed. There are much better options available.

Have been there several times over past years when visiting Glenelg and it is always a pleasure to dine there. Food and service are always impeccable. Great night out….. good value. Can’t wait for our next visit to Glenelg.

The servise was good. Food was average. The restaurant smelled a bit mouldy.

Arrived to be advised that our booking couldn't be found. Asked to wait 10 mins at bar and have a drink. Eventually booking found on their system and space made available which was tucked into a corner alongside a large noisy group booking. Food great, and rustic. However table less than ideal, v noisy and felt rushed. When Bill.arrived we had even been charged for drinks we had at the bar! Complimentary drinks would have been a nice touch given it was their mistake. The evening was our wedding anniversary, whist it was nice - was not what I had hoped for.

Leila was particularly welcoming and the food was great. Perhaps some swearing from the next table of visiting golfers was unnecessary !

My partner loved his meal but my risotto was a bit bland.

The main meals were amazing, however the tiramisu was watery and not enjoyable, like it had not been set properly. The service was great.
