Carbon is our favorite place in Bondi to get authentic and delicious Mexican food and drinks! Highly recommend the guacamole, Oaxaca cheese, and rib eye tacos for food. Drinks we love are the jalapeno margaritas and the mezcal! We did a flight of mezcal and asked the bartender to select 4 to taste and it was great. Being here brings us right back to our time spent enjoying mezcal in Mexico City on holiday.

They were understaffed and not prepared for how busy it was. The staff did their best.

Great flavours, the fish taco was the bomb! Good Margaritas too! We will definitely return.

We loved this place. Such a good atmosphere and attentive service. Fun share plates made the meal feel like a wholesome feast. Top favourites were the tuna tostadas for entree and the margaritas. The waitress taught us a thing or two about Mezcal which was fun.

The best food! Authentic mexican with a modern touch that surprises. Service was outstanding as well! Definitely worth a visit if in Bondi. A Mezcal tasting is a must!

The food and service was great. However, we wanted to do the bottomless Tacos/Margaritas and they wouldn't let us as they said we wouldn't have time. When we left other tables were still being saved the bottomless and we had spent way more money... You should be more flexible with those things as they are the kind of things that make people return.

The food was good but service was really slow. Was a nice dinner with friends but we agree we probably won’t be back.

We went for the bottomless tacos and margaritas on a Saturday. The food was nice and was served quickly but the margaritas only had 2 shots per jug (between 5 people...) which was disappointing. The staff were all lovely but I really don't think the deal is good value.

The food was really good! But service was lacking unfortunately. No one came to ask if we wanted another drink. When I finally got a hold of a waiter it took 15 min for a glass of wine... Generally we felt not that welcome.

We were very disappointed that the bottomless lunch included frozen margaritas only, not real margaritas. The frozen margs tasted like sugar water and had no alcohol. The service was slow, however the people were so lovely. Would not recommend the bottomless lunch.

The whole rainbow trout is delicious with tacos to self wrap.. The service is friendly, sides delicious and sauces are great... overall I highly recommend it.

Hands down best Mexican in Sydney, if not Australia. Great service. Beautiful interiors. And seriously delicious margaritas. Bondi Road needed something like this! Can't wait to try their bottomless taco and margarita deal one weekend with the girls!

Nice vibe great service. Food could do with more flavour and soul. Felt a little underwhelmed with the ceviche and tacos. Tuna tostadas were excellent.

Restaurant has a great ambience, can get a little noisy. The food is incredible and great share plates. It did take a long time for our meals to come out though which wasn't a great experience

Finally authentic Mexican cuisine arrives in Sydney. And you get to enjoy it in an atmospheric setting, with the best Margarita in Sydney in hand!

The food and service were great. The music was quite loud, so combined with people shouting over the music and the acoustics of the restaurant it was really noisy and hard to hear friends’ conversations.

We had the margarita and taco brunch. The margaritas were frozen, but everything else was top quality. The tacos were amazing, the atmosphere and decor were great, and the service was very attentive.

Food was nice, one dish had four tiny pieces of chorizo in it which wasn’t reflective of its price. Service was OK but could be improved.

The service was incredible, the staff is so friendly and accommodating! They even ran out after us to give us something we had forgotten. The food was great perfect for a large table to share. We all said we would go back!

Our first meal there was a very good one -- the food was excellent, the beverages terrific and the service was friendly and smart. But we sat next to the front door on a cold night and that door wouldn't close properly which meant that we had icy blasts of cold air intermittently during the meal ... and that wasn't much fun. Oh, and maybe they can dial back on the volume of a pretty cheesy Mexican playlist ...

Lack of table service during our meal and we couldn’t get the attention of the wait staff to order more drinks. Once we did get our drinks they were incorrect, which added to the frustration.

Carbon has everything that we wanted: Excellent food, great service and the best margaritas. The tables are big and well spaced, and the linen is spot on.

Great local Mexican restaurant with awesome margaritas. Be a great place for a date or with a night out with friends. Definitely try the grilled corn and the Baja fish taco.

Great food and the atmosphere was really buzzing. Service was good for such a busy little place. I’d recommend booking as people were turning up disappointed when there was no room for them. It gets full quickly and stays full!! You can see why!
