Cecconi's Flinders Lane

One of my favourite Italian restaurants for special occasions. The decor, service and atmosphere is great. The food is always beautiful.

Great for couples or large groups. There's always a buzz here. Exceptional food, exceptional service from extremely knowledgeable staff, awesome atmosphere. Brilliant setting and location and the Chocolate Martinis are magnificent. Love this place

Great service today. After asking whether a dish was gluten free I was served gf bread (normal bread for the rest of the table) without asking and the waitress made a point of stating that my dish was gluten free when she served it. Two people had decided to share an entree and the waitress asked the kitchen to serve it on separate plates so the two, who where not sitting together, wouldn't have to reach across the table. Water regularly topped up and staff very attentive. And importantly, the food was lovely!

Good service, food was completely overpriced for the quality. In particular, $40 for pasta that was dry and poorly made was disappointing. Not planning to go back.

Lovely venue, great service, wonderul food. A very good all round experience. We really enjoyed our meal and came away with nothing but praise for the experience.

The food was very nice. The wine I selected wasn't available. At times I wanted to ask for service but I had to follow up on several occasions, not major but distracting.

Excellent food, wine and ambience. The service was excellent. The veal is a must, very delicious! On our table of 6 we couldn't pick a bad dish, everything was as it should be in a high end restaurant.

Always a great venue for a business lunch, staff are friendly and helpful. Food is always prompt and well seasoned, a go to if you are at this end of town.

Food and wine were great however it took a long time for the food to arrive.The restaurant is generally abit noisy but it is still a very good quality restaurant.

We had an xxellent meal. The service was very good. The Restaurant is noisey and they need to look into some sound solutions. Food was delicious and served in a timely fashion.

Wonderful service, amazing food great atmosphere, high quality restaurant. Could not fault anything. My husband was most impressed and we will definitely recommend to others.

Our summary is simple - Quality over quantity. Went for dinner and everything was perfect and as prices are $$$$ so it should be. Food was excellent, wine list is very good and our waitress had the right balance when it came to service and friendliness. If you want quality and value then go for lunch.

Upon entering the establishment we were greeted with a warm welcome by the friendly staff. Our waiter was brilliant and his recommendations were spot-on. And of course the food was absolutely amazing. Ten out of ten!

Great customer service, amazing food & perfect assistance with wine selection. Really enjoyed our experience & the atmosphere at this restaurant. Will be back soon.

Food was very good. Enjoyed the quiet ambience so the 4 of us could have a good conversation. Drink waiters knowledge was a little thin - otherwise a very good experience.

Lunch. Many tables. We got a side table so one of us couldn't see anything. Loved that. Waiter was snooty. My friend wanted fish, he suggested Coral Trout filet. It was full of bones. she was really disappointed. When she complained about the bones he shook her off. Like we didn't matter. Even though I left a tip. When we left our coats were left hanging from the counter. Last time we go there for lunch.

The food was great and the service impeccable as always. We enjoy watching the seamless way the staff all work together. Very enjoyable evening for our grandson's 18th birthday. Our favourite Melbourne restaurant.

Good ambience. Great service. Food was good but nothing special. Cocktails and wine were good. Won't go back because Melbourne has more amazing food everywhere

Excellent ambience and the food was, as always, something special. 1 point deducted for waiter not telling us what the dishes were on our dessert tasting plate. The second waiter did oblige and apologized on behalf of the other. Overall though it was the perfect meal to celebrate a special occasion.

Thoughtful courteous service and the best pasta dishes we've had since Positano. Stunning interior, very New York brasserie in style. Can't wait to go back.

It was an unanimous verdict hands-down... Cecconi's just keeps getting better. Our group loved the food and experience so much last Saturday night that I had to return 2 days later with my kids. Wish I could afford to dine hear more regularly. Food | Wine | Service | Ambiance ... AMAZING!!!

Terrible service and totally ruined what should have been a great night...tried to be too fancy ...stuffed up order twice and overcharged 120 dollars on our bill
