GREAT FOOD AND GREAT SERVICE. NICE ENVIROMENT. We had scallops, barramundi and duck along with a delicious desert. Well worth trying when you are visiting Melbourne
The cuisine atmosphere and service were wonderful. The restaurant was very busy but we were made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble.
My favourite Italian in Melbourne! Classy interior, great service, and the best chocolate fondant in town. My favourite dish is the pappardelle ragu- get the chips on the side!
The food was absolutly delicious. We were positioned near the door and there was constant cold draught. The wait service was a slow - and they forgot to bring a drink pre lunch and coffee and brought the wrong wine.
The space was beautiful. Food was delicious, could not fault. Service was good however very large groups took most attention away from checking in on smaller tables.
The food and service was excellent. Also the restaurant has a good pace when serving its customers, which makes doing business there easy. We will go back again.
We had to quickly eat due to a booking for a play at 7:30, and the waitstaff & kitchen staff were so warm and accommodating.
The service was excellent, food was lovely, menu was not as extensive as I would have thought but overall it was a great experience and I will go back again.
Loved it. Food and service was amazing. Unobtrusive staff made sure we had everything we needed without interrupting the flow of conversation at all. Food was second to none. Amazing fresh pasta. All of my guests commented on both food and service similarly. Highly recommend.
Atmosphere busy and warm. Staff well trained and friendly. Food menu huge. Food taste was amazing. I would rate this a top class restaurant. I will be back.
To be honest, I expected more for the money we spent. The food quality was variable. The slow cooked rabbit saddle was excellent, however my wife's Salmon was over cooked. Similarly the deserts and drinks were of mixed quality. Our sparkling wine was excellent, but our Tuscan Red was full of sediment and not really what you would expect from a $120 bottle of wine. Overall our experience was good, but not great. I would expect more when spending $150 per head for a three course meal.
Cecconi's is certainly a classy restaurant serving good Italian dishes! A personal favourite was their wild mushroom risotto which was a special on the day.
Food Was good and whilst service was efficient I found waiter to be a bit curt in manner. Good atmosphere and location. A touch exxy
AMAZING food! AMAZING menu! AMAZING service. Could not find a single fault with the entire experience. Will definitely be going back in the future! Loved it
Food and service was great, overall cost of food was quite expensive. I really enjoyed the goat special main course, and the seafood linguini. Although $49 for a main course was quite steep.
Great service and good food. It was a busy night so the atmosphere was great and we had a lovely waiter who had a beautiful Italian accent that made it all the more a romantic experience for us.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary there this weekend and it was amazing. Cannot wait to return. The food was sensational. The staff were very helpful and attentive.
We love to have an opportunity to visit Cecconi's, we spent a lovely evening with two wonderful friends who had not visited your restaurant before, they loved everything about it, the food was fabulous, as always, the ambience was great, your wait staff were very attentive, thank you for a great evening.
Lovely environment, attentive waiters and absolutely delicious food. Cecconi's is also fairly priced for the quality and service. Highly recommended for a special night out!
The food was excellent over all 3 courses. The staff were very professional as well as very friendly. The entire experience was great. We'll be going back.
Very nice 2nd time we have been when in Melbourne....clean modern and friendly professional service. Food was unbelievable....I came with my son this time and he was impressed as well
have booked there quite some times, still think it's very good. Our guests were quite happy. love the food and services. looking forward to book there next time.
Good service, wine was averagely priced and the food was tasty but a little pricey for what it was. Overall a pleasant dinning experience however I would say slightly over priced in comparison to other Melb dinning experiences.
Attentive service, great ambience and a very delicious dinner. Price wise is slightly on the higher side but well worth it if you are looking for a restaurant that is better than just good.
Service was friendly and efficient. The food was excellent. I went to dinner with a fussy Italian friend and she thought the food was excellent also.
Food was ok. Nothing overly special. Dessert was definitely the standout. Tried to use multiple Good Food Guide vouchers and was told that they could only accept one as this was house policy and they are charged 15% of the bill by Good Food Guide. The whole debacle put a real dampener on the evening.
Great service, atmosphere and food. A little expensive. We had to leave to make a show and the staff went over and above to cancel our dessert order and fixed up our bill super fast. Looking forward to going back.
We had a beautiful meal and the service was really very good. A most enjoyable evening and will return next time we visit Melbourne. Many thanks
Great night thanks to the staff! The food was excellent and the basement atmosphere was quintessentially Melbourne. Would recommend to any locals or visitors! Ciao
As always the service was first class and the food was full of flavour and delicious. The ambience of the dining room is enhanced by the open kitchen do you can see the great chef and the whole team
Great Restaurant and food. Easily rates a 1 hat Good food guide restaurant. The service was outstanding. Will definitely be back and be recommending to our friends/family.
Excellent ambiance and great professional service. Taste was delicious, however quantity for mains was somewhat insufficient. Superb selection of deserts and desert wines. Prices are slightly above average for the quantity of food, however it was a pleasant dining experience overall. Definitely recommend.
No sooner had we finished our entree, they took our dishes at the same time as placing down our main. Not even a few minutes between courses... I guess they needed the table, although we were in and out within the hour.
Lovely restaurant, food great but they lost our mains order, which meant long wait between entree and main Also they brought the wrong wine to the table. No offer of any compensation for mistakes. As we had ordered wine by the glass the offer of a glass of wine each; on the the house while we continued to wait for mains after being informed our order had been lost would have been appreciated
Very nice meal, the Calamari was yummy and wait staff were attentive. Nice ambience also. Thank you too for acknowledging our anniversary. I would recommend Cecconi's for a fine dining experience.
Great service, nice traditional Italian vibe ,good food, with good sized portions. If you want proper Italian experience as good as any.Very accommodating to my young daughter.
Wow. What a disappointment. One of my all time favourite restaurants and it was a disaster. I had the charcuterie platter for entree and the chicken terrine had a large sharp bone in it - which I discovered mid-mouthful. Worst still I told the waitress and waiter (manager?) who didn't even apologise - said they'd tell the chef, but I strongly doubt that happened as the kitchen is open plan and I didn't even see either go near it! My partner had truffle risotto - overcooked, lack of juice and dry. I asked for a glass of red wine and they served the wrong one. Hardly one hat worthy service! So sad to say, but this restaurant, once an amazing place, has gone off. Not sure if it Is the head chef's influence (has it been the same since he arrived?) or whether sevice and standards are lacking (no apology for a large chicken bone!!!) but I won't be back in a hurry, and I would recommend people book elsewhere!
Food was good. Service was good. Atmosphere was nice. If I had to nitpick then I would say waiters needs to slow down a bit when taking away dishes and also naming the dish when putting it on the table. Not just slap it on the table and walk away.
Great food and fantastic service. Well worth the visit, make sure you book well in advance. The food and staff are authentic Italian and I recommend booking.
Enjoyed a beautiful night at Cecconi's. The Capaccio was one of the best I've had, and the Gnocchi with Duck ragu & Spaghettini with Morton Bay Bugs were equally sublime... Along with the 2009 bottle of Brunello we washed it down with.
