Very nice food and atmosphere. Some may consider a bit over price.

Amazing food, great place to have a birthday with some close mates! The yakitori was beyond compare, the chicken skin was orgasmic. Great selection of Japanese beverages too.

Amazing food and the selection of the grilled meats is incredible! Panfried gyoza is a must!!! It's a cute, tiny place - very Japanese with friendly service. Thank you!

Food was lovely, very authentic. Staff were friendly. Was a little shocked to have to pay $5 for a bowl of steamed rice. Loved my cocktail, it's a must have!

Food was ok i didn't think it was amazing though. There also wasn't enough staff or they weren't paying attention as we constantly had to call out to them

The food was amazing! Very traditional and simple flavours. My favourite meal was the Pork Belly & Wagyu tongue. I had never had sake before and definitely matched well with the yakitori.

The food and the service were absolutely outstanding. We love the yakitori, especially pink liver and chicken crackling. It feels like a mini journey to Tokyo.

Probably the best Japanese place I've visited in Sydney. We tried different types of skewers which were amazing including heart and asparagus which I normally wouldn't order. There was nothing we didn't like, will definitely go back.

Great food. Good service and atmosphere. Highlights were the Ebi mayo crunchy prawn, house sizzling gyoza w/chilli sauce, black cod and special king fish sashimi.

It's small but there's no stinging on food or service. The menu is diverse with chicken heart pork belly and pipis on offer; there were fine dining specials and "cheap eats" options. We had a gorgeous vegetarian dish with eggplant, which my daughter usually won't eat, cooked in a perfect blend of charred and salty tastes. Great she said.

Quaint little yakitori bar. Been here a few times. The food was cooked well and the green plum drink I had was delicious. I cannot remember the names of the dishes and they do seem to change their menu from time to time. My favourite dish was always going to be the 62degree egg chicken skewer. The only gripe was being served our food after other diners who ordered after us.

The food was great. Their yakitori was the best I have had in Sydney. I always find it hard to find good Japanese, but I think I have found my new favourite place for dinner. I loved their Japanese drink list as well

Great service, sake and food - everything ordered is recommendable! If gizzards aren't your thing at least try the chicken skins - crispy goodness. Specials like truffle on kingfish were great - super fresh! Went twice in a month and super keen to try ramen next!

Service and food were great, but it is not good value for money. Yakitori is supposed to be peasant food, so the per skewer price should be reviewed.

This is our first visit and we really enjoy it. The dishes we love most are the snapper sashimi ,the miso black cod and everything about the skewers - the wagyu tongue, asparagus pork, pink centered liver, thigh...

Small but cosy. Staff are polite and attentive. Beautiful food including but not limited to pipis, scallop, chicken heart skewer, tuna and pig's ear tataki. You can feel the scallop bursts in your mouth with the perfect tenderness and freshness of the sea. Chicken heart is tender to the extent that I thought it was not cooked enough at the first bite. Pipis have plump sweet meat and full of flavour mixed with intriguing scents from herbs. Tuna and pig's ear tataki presents the excellent combination of crispiness and tenderness, between which there's is mouthful of coriander, sesame and a hint of spiciness that brings this dish to another level. John Dory and king prawn dumplings came with a lot of chilli on the top, although it doesn't mention the word "spicy" in the menu, so we had to return it. I highly recommend green tea to go with the skewers if you don't drink alcohol. It was a great dining experience for us. We will definitely go more often.

Awesome little restaurant. Service was swift and unimposing. The food was delicious, as was the one tap beer they have on offer (there's plenty more bottled options). It's only small so be sure to book ahead.

The chicken crackling and pork belly skewers go very well with the red rice ale. Also try the silky, soft eggplant skewer with just the right hint of sweetness.

Amazing decor, ambience and customer service like no other. Chaco Bar never disappoints! Undoubtedly the best gyoza in Sydney, served sizzling in an iron-cast pan and caramelised skewers are grilled to absolute perfection. Try the chicken crackling it is the perfect amount of fat, crunch and melt in your mouth goodness! Hands down one of my favourite places to eat!

Food was great but it was super slow.. I understand the concept... But it seemed a bit disorganised. Initially waited for 45 to get our first skewer. And quite expensive

Best Japanese restaurant in Sydney. It's genuine Japanese " yakitori" bar. It's same or better than restaurant in Japan. I would recommend Ausie, this is Japanese food.

Love everything about this place. Food is amazing and we never run to anything that we dont like. Very cosy and Japanese bar vibe. Price is reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you get there. Owner is also very warm and welcoming, often coming out of his kitchen by the end of the night talking to customers and offering them sake tasting;) I have brought so many friends there and everyone loves it just as much as I do. One of the best Izakaya in Sydney if not the best!
