We waited 30 min past our reservation time. We asked for no coriander or spring onion and was still included. Staff were rude and dismissive.

The foundation of any great hotpot is the broth, and here, David's excels with an ambition that is both impressive and delicious. We opted for the triple-flavour pot, a brilliant trifecta that catered to every mood. The Sichuan Mala was a star—deeply aromatic, numbing, and spicy without merely assaulting the senses, building a complex heat that awakened every taste bud. The Golden Chicken Broth was a revelation of comfort, rich, creamy, and profoundly savoury, while the Tomato Broth offered a sweet, tangy, and surprisingly robust alternative. Each was a star in its own right, providing a unique dipping journey for every morsel of food.

I recently visited David Pot, and while the experience was decent, it falls significantly short when compared to Haidilao. The service lacked the attentiveness and personalized touch that Haidilao is renowned for. The ambiance was basic, with little effort to create an engaging or memorable atmosphere. The variety of broths and ingredients was limited, and there were no special touches like a sauce bar or interactive elements (e.g., noodle-pulling shows) that make dining at Haidilao so unique. Additionally, the overall consistency in food quality and service seemed to be missing. While David Pot may satisfy a basic hotpot craving, it doesn’t offer the premium experience or value that Haidilao delivers.

My husband and I had the best date night here last night! Everything was incredible. The broths were so delicious, we had the spicy one and the seafood. All the ingredients were beautiful and fresh. It was mindblowingly good!! The staff were quick and friendly. We ate so much!! We’ve wanted to go to David’s Hot Pot for ages and we were really impressed.

Quite noisy and busy! Even with booking we had to wait a little while

It was an ok hotpot place considering the price. I don’t know if it would be worth going for a second time. It’s a bit smoky in there and squishy. The soups were ok and the food needed more seasoning. The spicy meats needed less seasoning to be honest as they were almost inedible and I love spicy food. Better quality ingredients would go a long way to helping this place out. The fried rice cakes were lovely - a real highlight that I would recommend.

The food and service were average comparing to other hotpot restaurants in town. It was for a birthday celebration but no one bothered to respond to our request. The restaurant website contains malware which targets customers who use their website to make booking. Overall experience was just ok. It was our first and also last visit.
