Food was enjoyable had tapas 6 was enough for 4 people nice atmosphere made to feel welcome great night out will go back again for sure

A very busy place but, in spite of that, we were able to move tables and the service was great. We were never without water (always a good point of reference for service). Beer and wine were pleasingly cold. Food was tasty and waitresses very willing to please.

Beautiful food and excellent service. A wonderful intimate experience. The meat was tender and succulent. Broccoli and bacon bake melted in our mouths. Perfectly paired with a Chardonnay pinot noir.

Lovely food and drink. All came out a bit quick as I fancied a longer and lingering meal but if that’s the worst thing then it’s not the end of the world. Will definitely be back

Great food and service. We’ve eaten here many times and it’s always excellent. In my opinion Down The Hatch is the only decent restaurant in Joondalup unfortunately.

Great tasting food cooked really well. Service was fast. Restaurant was clean and family friendly. Colouring for the kids if needed. Food won the day. Overall ambience was pleasant.

We had the arancini to start,they were ok ,pretty bland,my partner had the beer battered fish n chips and the fish was rather greasy and the tartare sauce had no flavour, i had the tbone,cooked perfect, the coleslaw had red onion which was way overpowering, service and price tho were great so its a 3 from me

Great food, great service just a tad noisy the night I was there but there was a birthday celebration. Would definitely go back. As I say the staff are fantastic.

Tapas was brilliant, service the same....was an enjoyable dinner with my daughter...I will take the rest of the family to experience this restaurant.....yum yum yum

Fantastic and gorgeous hostess, she intuitively knew to provide space and also assistance at right time...food was great coupled with relaxing atmosphere. All in all would highly recommend.

It was an hour before we got our food then the order was wrong and cold we eat it as we were hungry We were looking forward to the evening with friends who hadn’t been before and not sure will go again Not enough staff serving and one clearly hadn’t got a glue what she was doing

Service, atmosphere and food were all exceptional. Only negative was it was a little too noisey to be comfortable. However, Down The Hatch is our new favourite and we will definitely be returning.

We had a great time. The portions are huge and the service was excellent. Even though the bar area was nicely busy the restaurant acoustics were perfect.

Great food relaxed atmosphere and great staff as well.would definitely reccomend.we had tapas for 4 people with 5 dishes which was plenty then they gave us an extra plate to try.fantastic
