Even though the restaurant was quiet on a Saturday night (never a good sign) there was hope in the fact take away drivers were busy delivering lots of kitchen goodies to local families. Spicy lamb chops, chicken ticka, rogan josh lamb and Bengali fish curry was all perfect. Moist, spicy, tasty, great texture and clearly fresh. Accompanied with garlic naan and roti it made for a refreshingly wonderful meal beyond our expectations. Thank you Essence of Northern India for bringing some excitement to a suburb of bland cuisines and sparse cultural experiences.

The food was fresh and exactly the way we like it. The service was a little slow but as our group was enjoying ourselves we hardly noticed.

The food was delicious but in all honesty, the service is terrible. Very slow the whole night, even when most people had left the restaurant. But it was a good sign to see a lot of Indian people dining there.
