My guests and I sat down at 12.30. We ate our steaks at 2.30pm My steak was medium well when I ordered medium rare. For. a $498 meal for 3 people pretty average. Last week the waitress served our steaks to the wrong table they sat in front of the customers for a minute before the head waitress picked them up and put them on our table. Lucky we were hungry.

Service and reception were excellent; food was ok - steak not great ; extremely noisy and unable to have a decent conversation ; major off putting factor was the price - $175 (incl tip) for two people, just main course, no wine !! Just can't justify that again.

Food was good. Service very attentive without being too intrusive . All in all a great place for a quality lunch served quickly

My rib-eye was just the fat. Poor quality meat unfortunately.

Awesome food, drinks and service - as always. Very friendly staff. Fairmont is very good value for money which is why we enjoy coming back. A bit noisy today and not always easy to hear the conversation at our table.

Staff are lovely and attentive. We asked for a break between entre and main (steak & lamb with salad & fries), but the mains arrived whilst I was finishing my entre, so they took them away. We ordered our 2nd bottle of wine and asked for the mains, they were the same ones and served luke warm, so they were removed & fresh new ones were cooked served some 20 minutes later. They were cooked perfectly, sauce stunning but meat was flavourless, we assume they were Sous Vide. Disappointing, we have been there before & loved our dining experience.

Rib eye was basically a lump of chewy fat. I know it’s not a fine dining steak house, but for $50 you’d hope for a lot more. Noise levels are out of control too. Can’t hear the person opposite you

Have been to the Fairmont numerous times and always a great place for lunch with mates. Best steaks in the CBD.
