Service was fantastic, good food. We waited a very long time - half an hour? - for it though and the order was a pie and salad. Aside from this it was a fantastic visit. We will come again!

This place is great for breakfast! The waiter upstairs is always super friendly and helpful and the location is nice. Thumbs up for having lactose free milk available and I like the option for lots of sides to have with my breakfast eggs! Would love to see some vegan options on the menu though - then perhaps I would visit for dinner 😀

Wonderfully placed on the Hobart waterfront this cafe offers lovely views from the couple of window tables. Starting with a sparkling from a cute little bottle I followed with the signature scallop pie. This was a disappointment. I found it quite dry and anemic though it tasted good. More colour to the pastry and more sauce in the filling was needed. The pie was served with a salad. The side of chips was a good decision, they were excellent. Finished with a good coffee.

A busy cafe, with a great buzz occupying an excellent location near the waterfront and close to Salamander market. We loved the great menu, scrummy food and outstanding service. The staff are very nice people! You should go there.

Great spot and excellent food/service. Staff generally attentive and responded well. Highly recommend BYO, at $6 per bottle. The restaurant wine list in my opinion is pathetic, three Tasmanian reds by the glass at $11/glass or near $50/bottle. The total red list is four wines, The only Italian red is bottle only.

Booking was there and the breakfast was lovely, a bit stuffy upstairs and the spiral staircase was a concern, but overall it was lovely. Views from upstairs windows good!

The staff were attentive and helpful and the service generally was excellent. The food was fresh, tasty, well presented and reasonable priced. This is my 3rd visit to Harbour Lights Cafe and, so far, the experience was consistently excellent and I will continue to go back.

Staff very friendly and efficient. Our food order was taken quite quickly and drinks arrived promptly. We had to wait awhile for our food to arrive but it was cooked to order so no complaints. The food was very good. The restaurant was very busy which is a good sign.

Service was excellent. Professional; attentive and discreet. The food was beautiful ; however just a touch too indulgent with the Oil. Although this (the oil) is a very personal consideration. Otherwise a Great Experience of Dining. Miguel Alejandro/ Spain

Friendly staff, lovely food. Great views when you get a table near the window, may be hard to get up spiral stairs if you have mobility issues, otherwise it is much less crowded upstairs.

The food was fantastic, perfect amount of time between entree and mains too. The service was excellent, the waiter was looking after a lot of tables by himself and managed it with ease!

Brilliant place. Staff were under extreme pressure with numbers and all maintained their composure and friendly nature. Food as always was simply great. Booking for six and accommodating and elderly ladies upstairs was beyond normal service.
