Immerse yourself in Japanese culture at Hayashi Japanese Restaurant. Found on Ogilvie Road, just off of Canning Highway, this elegant eatery blends together Japanese traditions and modernity, creating the perfect setting for a special meal in Mount Pleasant. From expertly crafted sushi and freshly sliced sashimi, to other Japanese favourites like teriyaki, teppanyaki and tempura, there’s something to suit all tastes and dietary requirements on the menu – we recommend beginning with the soft shell crab or the mixed sushi before moving on to the chicken katsu. To guarantee a table at Perth’s Hayashi Japanese Restaurant, making a reservation in advance is recommended.
Food was faultless and service was lovely. All fresh and beautifully presented and with the entertainment card it made it even better value . We will go back
excellent food and great service, very positive attitude from staff and wide selection of food .would return readily to this restaurant and happy to recommend to all
Great service. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food delicious, fresh and presented well. Japanese music perfect. Parking situation not the best, very few spaces nearby
Good food, great service and clean and presentable restaurant. Meat and fish is cooked just right..not overcooked. However, it is a bit hard to find parking for the restaurant.
Faultless - No question !! From the moment we arrived we were made feel most welcome and every possible need was attended to promptly and with a smile. Our order was taken quickly and efficiently and in no time we were dining on exquisite gyoza and tori karaage entrees. Wife was very content with her plum wine and the Yebisu beer was much to my liking. Mains was a King Snapper Teriyaki with Mixed Vegetable Tempura accompanied by miso and steamed rice. Each dish was delightfully prepared/cooked and possibly the best Japanese we have had in Perth!!! (and their has been quite a few). Finally, the service was impeccable with each dish arriving almost the instant the previous course was completed. Would we recommend Hayashi.... we just did, and very highly indeed.
Casual ambience but lovely. Very attentive staff. We had gyoza entree which was delicious and for mains we had beef teppanyaki and Tempura bento. Lots of food in both dishes. We shared the rice in the bento box between us as the teppanyaki didn't include rice. We were so full after out mains we had no space for dessert. We decided that next time we'll go and just order a selection of entrees and dessert so we can try more dishes :-D
I Love this place!! food is always amazing... the restaurant used to lack a bit of atmosphere with the decor etc but looks like they have listened to feedback as the restaurant looked great last night and updated!! service was fantastic also and food did not disappoint as per usual.. we used our entertainment voucher too so saved 25% off the bill. Will continue to come back!
Great little restaurant, we're very surprised when the waiter came back and told us he thought we had ordered too much food, what a great start we could always order more we were very thankful. All food was excellent, the sushi was good but I have tasted better but the Unagi, chicken and salmon were delicious.
We had a party of 4 with us and everyone ordered different dishes, I had the Beef Teppanyaki, 2 others had the Chicken Katsu and one had sushi. Decent quantities and quality was superb. You must try the Lotus Root Chips! Wow! We'll definitely be back.
Mixed Sashimi was very fresh and tasty; love their Teppanyaki Squid & Miso Soup (a little let down by limited choice of desserts, hence 5 stars and the Japanese Cheese Cake were frozen solid but the Trio Mochi was excellent). Bottom line ... delicious food & great customer service!
