The meals were okay however we did not appreciate having the eftpos machine shoved in our face for payment at the same time as clearing the last plate on the table. We checked and we had only been there one hour so it was not excessive. We would have stayed and had more drinks or desserts if this didn’t happen. Your staff definitely need more training in etiquette

We’re a couple from a small country town who rarely get a night away—especially with four kids at home! On a rare date night in Adelaide, we stumbled across Hecho en Mexico completely by chance… and we are so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with such friendly, genuine service. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated with vibrant, authentic Mexican flair—so much care has gone into every detail, and it shows. The food was incredible. You can really taste the authenticity in every meal. And the drinks were just as impressive—delicious, refreshing, and thoughtfully crafted. To top it off, the prices were very reasonable, which made the whole experience feel even more special. Thank you, Hecho en Mexico, for giving us such a great kick off to our date night. We’ll be raving about this to friends and family back home—and we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town. – Grateful parents on a rare night off ❤️🌮

Food was good but not great. No salsa on the nachos and one missing guacamole. Small area for dining, hard for wait staff to get around to all tables. Had to ask for birthday treat that was listed on website. Good night, not a great night

The lady behind the bar looked quite grumpy and was complaining about speaking in English. Not very nice. The food was good though.

Food and drinks were delicious! Customer service could have been better, didn’t get any table water or asked if we wanted more drinks.

Terrible service, reminded us they had another booking and we were on a time limit. The restaurants was next to empty. Took at least 20 minutes for chips and guac to come out? Didn’t take the rest of our food order, forgot our drink order - overall a terrible experience and will not be back.

The service was quite poor. No one came to take our drink orders. We had to call someone over to take the food orders after about 20 mins. We waited about 30-40 mins for the food to arrive and none of the wait staff checked up on us to see if we needed more drinks. I understand that it can get busy, but I have been to similar Mexican places that were much more busy and the wait times and service were much better

Food was good but service was rushed. Upon sitting down we’re told have to be out by 7.30pm even though we booked the table. Not a warm greeting. Ordered starter and was only half way through it when mains arrived, literally 10 mins later. Said to staff we’re not ready for mains but they just left the meals on our table. We had told our friends we recommended this venue so we were embarrassed when they told us the service here is Crap. Won’t be returning.

Staff and service was excellent. We enjoyed the meal, the margaritas were very good. The atmosphere was challenging as we were seated outside next to the walkway, loud and crowded and conversation and relaxation was not possible.

Foods were great however we felt we’re being rushed to finish and leave as the table is being booked by someone else,which is fine but they could’ve informed us when we arrive instead

Staff are wonderful and very accommodating. Easily catered for dietary needs and the food was delicious. Best jalapeño poppers! The fit out is fun and inviting, great use of a smaller space.

Great atmosphere and good food. However, the staff seemed very overwhelmed as it got busier. Seemed to be a lot of walk-ins for a Wednesday night so the service became very slow, although it was good to start off with when only a few tables were occupied. We intended to order dessert, but ended up deciding against it as no-one came to offer dessert or more drinks so we called it a night.

What an amazing experience. The staff were so personable and delightful, making us feel we were the only diners in the room. The food is the best Mexican I’ve ever tasted and a fun, bright decor. We will return with more friends and family.

Absolutely loved everything about Hecho en Mexico! The food was amazing and the Margaritas were perfect.

Food was great and well priced, staff could have had more personality they all seemed very bland and not very concerned with customer interaction. Would definatly eat the food again, but staff could use some work on hospitality skills

The tables are far too close together. We were sat next to another table with two guys chatting away very loudly when there was plenty of other two seater tables sitting empty all around. After 10 minutes of trying to read my menu with the men conversing very loudly I asked if we could be moved elsewhere since there were plenty of other tables around. It was met with some difficulty saying they were reserved for 6 or 6.30pm. There was a table upstairs which again there were plenty of tables but we were sat very closely to another couple when it seemed like there was no need. There was another two seater table free next to us which would have been better but felt like we were packed together like sardines. I get that it was a busy Saturday night and they tried to accommodate us but I will not be going back on the weekend to eat here and the tables so close together is a real put off. The food was ok nothing that wowed me or tasted that great.

No more to say really. It was a good lunch.
