Amazing view - excellent food, light and moreish, and great wine list. Service was friendly and accommodating. Great experience and enjoyed by the all that attended.
Great view from hotel - taking plates were big and adequate for 3 people; service by the friendly ladies behind the bar was very professional
A character pub with lots of charm plus good beer along with well price food of limited selection but decent quality. Well worth a visit.
Great service and atmosphere. The food is really good quality and a bit more sophisticated than standard pub fare. Love that you have the option of upstairs cocktail lounge, a bistro and pub. Overall excellent venue.
Great food and large portions, ideal location and palce for a quick week day meal/ work meeting. Beautiful sections upstairs for weekend catch ups one of the best views in Sydney.
Went here for lunch & sat on the balcony overlooking the Harbour Bridge. Beautiful building and location, with great food, wine & service. Will be back!
Amazing view from the top, generous size servings in the ground level pub. Had two cocktails on the top floor, the bartender was very knowledgable and made some mean drinks. Fantastic venue!
Nice venue and food, service was a bit mixed there was a bit of confusion about lost food orders but it was sorted eventually. Would go back.
Excellent venue, food and service and the view is amazing. I would definitely recommend it for a drink or a meal day or night although Friday evening very busy
Great location! Super place! Ordinary food in the pub ( great ideas; lacking in flavor) I would go back to try out Henry Deane upstairs!
Great rustic ambiance; good food and service from the bar and table staff. Good portion sizes. Great view from the top floor. A unique experience.
The food was yummy , a little on the cool side by yummy ! great vibe as hotel is a busy one & service was quick & efficient
lovely place, breathtaking views, will definitely come back. food wasn't too pricey and all the wait staff and bartender were amazing, friendly service. definitely recommend
The food and service were great. I scheduled a work function there for a few people. The only downside is that there was so much noise that we couldn't hear each other :-(. Very important point for a get together. Otherwise everything was great.
Great bar! The view and food was amazing! Great vibe as well. The staff were very attentive and knowledge. I will definitely come back and recommend
This place has a small menu, but the food is great. The pub itself is beautiful with a stylish reno that is stunning. Great selection of micro beers. Would recommend to anyone.
We were a group of 6. We walked along Barrangaroo then had lunch at the Palisades. We sat in the parlour area at a table by the window. Service , food and atmosphere were all very good.
Food was excellent if rather pricey, ambience rather too noisy, staff very friendly+caring but the view was stunning +we might just return for the view!
Well executed, sympathetically restored iconic building in a great part of town. A good pub menu coupled with solid beer list and stunning views from atop the roof seal the deal. Choice.
Great place and friendly staff. We all had an amazing time and food was really good and price was also very reasonable. We will go back for sure!
We ate in the public house part of Hotel Palisade which was uber busy and noisy on a Friday night. If you are looking for a spot where you can talk and enjoy a relaxed meal, you may be best to choose elsewhere.
A fantastcic refurb downstairs, embracing the history of the area. The downstairs menu is pretty limited so much so that we ate elsewhere. The views are spectacular and great to see Hotel Palisade re-opened!
Brisket burger was ok. Cauliflower macaroni cheese veggie option is as bland as food gets - zero taste, as if there was no cheese. The staff should try the food they serve. The guy behind the bar hadn't tried the Mac cheese, so was in no position to warn us against it! Otherwise, great surroundings, atmosphere, service and decor. We'll definitely be back!
They didn't have our booking, the food was really average and they made a huge mess of the bill (which they did correct once we questioned it). The one redeeming factor was the amazing view from the top...... if you could get up there! There are certainly better hotels in the city to enjoy.
Good atmosphere and a nice place to enjoy a meal with family. The kitchen menu was limited but food arrived quickly and was of a high standard
Very small menu and nothing really that the kids could enjoy except garlic bread. Apparently they are running on a limited kitchen at the moment and the meals, whilst good reflect this, as there wasn't much in the way of a true pub meal. But service was excellent and pub itself has a lovely feel...great for adults, not young families.
Food was good. We had the sashimi and crab milk buns and both were excellent. The tomato salad was good but would have been so much better with less dressing. Just too much balsamic. Nice wines too. Staff very pleasant. Only negative is the 10% service charge automatically added to the bill. OK it tells you on the menu to expect it but it's not that common these days. Overall a good experience and would definitely go back :-)
In the end we went upstairs to the top floor lounge Henry Deane and it was a hidden gem and fantastic for a leisurely weekday lunch
Table for 3 was too small, bar stools at table, no back support. Menu limited although very nice food. Great location, and views. Will be back.
Funky noisy and jumping til late. Great pub food and bar service in this little hotel on a hill. A must for anyone especially those searching for Sydney before highrise took over.
Wonderful afternoon at the hotel palisade! The food was delicious - all share dishes. We loved the kingfish, the crab rolls and the lamb special. The staff and service was excellent and the 360 degree views of Sydney just beautiful.
Wonderful historic pub. Very noisy on a Saturday night, so not the place if you want to have any meaningful conversations, but great if you're after atmosphere. Staff are very friendly.
Limited menu in the public bar as I think the kitchen is being refitted, but served up good comfort food on a cold rainy day.
Probably not worth allowing bookings on a Friday. It's way too hectic in the main bar to be able to enjoy a meal with friends!
Good refurb, good food and service, so enjoyable experience, although would have liked to have access to the rooftop bar - the website says you can?
Hotel Palisade is a great venue - beautiful location, good honest pub food and a decent selection of beers and wines. We went before heading to the Theatre and it worked perfectly!
Very good pub food and excellent staff. We had a look at Henry Deane restaurant on the top, again excellent staff and will try the food here next time to look out at the magnificent harbour view. Love the old style of the building.
Really nice food, friendly staff & great views from the top 2 floors. Great location to take international visitors for a different perspective of our wonderful Harbour. Have already recommended the Palisade to friends
Great place for good pub food, good selection of drinks and good value too. The view from the bar upstairs is awesome! Would highly recommend.
