Il Sogno

First time at this restaurant. Was recommended by a friend. Absolutely loved the food taste and quality. Restaurant owner and waiters were very friendly and provided good service. Enjoyed our dinner. Note that this is a BYO restaurant so remember to bring your own bottle of wine to enjoy with the food.

Always delicious food made even more appealing by the warm hospitable environment of this little suburban restaurant. A place where the personal touch and going the extra mile to meet customers needs is the norm. Anthony and his father John genuinely enjoy what they do and this is palpable in both the food and restaurant ambience.

Once again great food and service. We will be back

First time in this unpretentious family run Italian restaurant. The chef owner has trained in some of the better Melbourne restaurants and we were warmly welcome by his dad. The food is simple but very tasty. The pasta is homemade,. I loved the marinaded salmons, the parppadelle with olives and sausage and the Tiramisu The serves are generous and the prices lower than most restaurants. As a bonus it is a BYO restaurant. A great local for us. We’ll be back ❤️

We love I’ll Sogno - best authentic Italian fare in the east of Melbourne! It’s a real family affair with chef, Anthony G and host, dad John, leading the way. As a BYO venue, it also keeps the focus on the superb quality of the menu offerings!

I cannot rate Il Sogno highly enough. What a hidden gem. Hopefully the people that hand out hats will take the time to visit this place, because they deserve one at least. The lamb is exquisite, the house made pasta is superb and the service is excellent, whilst maintaining a friendly and low key approach. The menu shows restraint, yet offers something for everyone. I couldn't fault the experience.

And Maddie said it's was a pleasure being your waitress tonight it was nice the way she looked after us. I enjoyed my visit to Il Sogno. The atmosphere was very friendly & the food very good. I had an excellent risotto & my companion some delicious pasta. I will definitely visit again - it is a jewel in an area that does Italian food the way it should be. Elaine.

The service was especially impressive and the room was reasonably quiet despite being a full house. The choice was excellent and Italian food is so yummy.
