Kamikaze Teppanyaki - Garden City

Food was good and service was ok, they seemed to be busy and flustered without too many diners there. Tables etc could be cleaner.

Great food and general customer service. Could have cleared the table a tad quicker between courses but didn't spoil our night.

The sushi and Bento sets are no longer available when we ordered. The service was slow as I received my meal when the remainder of my family were finishing their meal. However, they did cater for our food intolerances.

Was great to have a relaxing catch up with friends

Good portion reasonable price at a nice spot. Booking was easy, friendly very staff. Would recommend if you are looking for a nice tepanyaki meal.

Food was great, but service was less than desirable. I had asked for my party of 3 to sit at the hot plate and we were told there was a party of 30 coming. We were shown to a table. Not long after sitting at our table a group of 3 came in and sat at the hot plate. Was disappointing to not have our meal in front of the chef, due to a breakdown in communication. Then our meals came out at different times, some of us waiting up to 40 minutes. The group that was sitting at the hot plate had their meals before us when we had arrive before them.

Reasonable atmosphere. Food ok . Staff a bit slow tto take order iIt didn’t appear to be too busy did not get offered a second drink had to ask.

Had a really great night . Meals were huge , filling and so delicious! Staff were so friendly and helpful with any questions. Very happy

Fresh and delicious food with great service. We like reserving the hot plate seats. For me the Marble beef is outstanding, followed very closely by the prawns.

QWERTY twist on Asian dining with cook yourself hot pot great once you mastered the cooking temperature which wasn’t explained and good value whilst dining on a Groupon voucher which worked out for less than $15 per person. Only thing I could fault was that the miso broth was a bit salty so make sure they bring plenty of water to the table. Service was good but hard to communicate with the Asian staff so be patient they eventually get it right

Had a fantastic night. Great service, great food, great interactions from the cook. Enjoyed our experience 😁😁😁😁😁 Had a large group and still all got to see the chef do the cooking and tricks included the young kids. Very happy with the night

Lovely fast service with very tasty food for the family enjoyed on a Father’s Day where they were nice enough to accept our Groupon. All the food were fresh.

The food was awesome and very reasonably priced. The staff were very helpful and even sand happy birthday to my partner when they brought out the cake we had brought with us. Will go back again for sure.

Great dining experience, food was fresh and beautiful. I had the Macky lunch special with beef and chicken and it was so tender and juicy. Staff were friendly and accomodating. Overall a great experience, will definitely go back.

Food was great, service was just as good. There is live music on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at the moment making it a nice night out.

Great atmosphere food is fresh and tastes delicious and reasonably priced. Staff friendly excellent service. Would definitely recommend. Love sitting watching them cooking at the front and them.

Friendly and accommodating staff, delicious food, great atmosphere, prices are very reasonable, we went as a group and were able to split the bill which is awesome (as a lot of places don’t allow this anymore). Do yourself a favour and try one of their delicious cocktails, loved it!

Funny and entertaining chefs, wonderfully tasty food. An overall great experience. I highly recommend to try the in-house Kamikaze Lager, light with a slightly fruity taste.

It was a busy Saturday night however for being a restaurant at garden city, this is no surprise, but the service wasn’t that great considering it was usually a busy place. 1 side came out before our drinks, and then the side I order followed shortly after... then about 20/30 minutes later my partner got his food, a few minutes later mine arrived, then 5 minutes later our rice arrived. All parts of the meal should have come together. What shocked us the most is the price, we got the same amount of food as you do during lunch and paid double the price... and were left hungry...

Food was good - friends didn't like bento box but other meals were great - Table Service could of been better to start with as but once ordered service was good. Had to pull over a waiter and ask for table water and menus after about 10 mins of sitting. Still a good experience and happy to go back again

Great food that is served really fast. Definitely recommend and will be back. Very cheap pricing compared to most teppanyaki places. Favourite Japanese on the southside!

It was great. We had booked seats around the BBQ and sat at them for the food preparation show. It was a really hot day and after the show we moved back from the bbq to some of the empty tables. There was 12 of us. Staff were not concerned and very polite and friendly. Food delicious!

Great they were slow coming out with our drinks at first. One drink was served we had to ask twice for the other 2 drinks. Food was great as usual. Other drinks were ordered and were received very quickly. They split the bill which was excellent as most restaurants refuse to. Will definitely go back.

We were there on Sunday 6pm and happy to be seated at the hotplate. The chef was entertaining but it would have been better if there was more audience participation. Our beef so overcooked and when we mentioned it we were offered another re-cook which was really appreciated.

First time visit. Service ok, staff friendly enough. Drinks at the very beginning but took forever to come out. Don’t understand why as they weren’t busy. Lunch specials are great value, however couldn’t imagine being great value if I paid full price. Ordered Macky’s special with prawns. Flavour was ok, I asked steak to be medium rare but steak was chewy. Fried Rice was dry & salty, so paying $4.50 extra wasn’t worth it. Plain rice was better. Overall it’s an OK jap restaurant, but probably wouldn’t go back.

Went here for dinner with a girlfriend last weekend. Meals were amazing. Service & atmosphere were great. I have already raved about it to friends. I will definitely be back!
