Admired for its commitment to authenticity, Thanon Khaosan is one of Sydney’s go-to restaurants on the eastern edge of Chinatown for fresh, delicious Southeast Asian cuisine. Whether it’s for a casual lunch or a dinner for the history books, Thanon Khaosan impresses with its superlative customer service, stunning atmosphere and high-quality, traditional Thai specialities. The street lamps, exposed brick and buggies inside the restaurant are a nod to the Bangkok market the restaurant takes its name from, a buzzing tourist attraction that’s famous across the world for its unique and often strange offerings ranging from selfie sticks to bootleg PC games. Thanon Khaosan’s menu features exotic dishes and local favourites like pad Thai and king prawns in red curry sauce. Found on busy Pitt Street in Haymarket, this legendary Thai restaurant is known to get busy – make sure to reserve in advance.
Amazing food, great vibe and so quick. The prawn cakes are the best I have ever had. Everything is so tasty and fresh. And very well priced too. Way cheaper than some other big names around the corner. Fun noisy vibe but not too noisy.
