We shared a number of tapas dishes, all of which were tasty and good value. The service was impeccable. The waiters were friendly and attentive to our every need. The location is excellent for an early dinner after our show at the STC. Heartily recommend this restaurant.

This is a very nice place for pre theatre dining. Easy to book (which I recommend) and excellent service. We did get there early for dinner at 5:15. It does get busy by 6 and they were a bit rushed. Choice of tapas as well as mains. OK prices for the area.

Food was excellent, it was packed as pre theatre, but service was great and very friendly. We went with the family and they provided a kids meal for a fussy eater and were really accommodating and it was quick so we got to show on time.

Besutiful location and exceptional food at reasonable prices. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a romantic evening or dinner before the theatre. Great choice.

Tasty, freshly prepared, in some cases, spicy tapas including lamb korma, scallops, beef kebabs and a potato and bean dish. Caters well for pre theatre dining. Well patronized and nice water view.

A very pleasant spot overlooking the wharf, made even more enjoyable by the very well priced menu that suits a variety of tastes. We cannot fault the delicious, nicely presented dishes we have tried over both dinner and lunch visits. Always served promptly, we particularly like the exceptional service from the terrific staff. Never intrusive but always alert to diners' needs, they are friendly and efficient ensuring the meal is well timed to suit the customer. An excellent venue for Pre Theatre shows at Roslyn Packer Theatre or The Wharf - but be sure to book as Lavana is very popular at these times.

Overall Lavana offers variety in their menu and bar choices that are delicious and tasty. The tapas menu is diverse and easy to share and the view looking out to the harbour is a plus.

The restaurant is in a great location at Walsh Bay with an amazing view. We choose from the Taps Menu which was reasonably priced. The food was really tasty. The service was very friendly and attentive to our every needs.

Great location. Friendly service, however, the portions are very small which is disappointing. So not particularly good value for money. For example the $10 pitta bread came with one piece of pitta (sliced), 3 olives and two very small containers of paste (houmous and ??). The Haloumi dish had three pieces of haloumi. We were a party of four. The owner/manager was particularly unsmiling.

The tasting plates were all very good but the service was poor with very slow and confused delivery of the dishes. Management seemed truly apologetic and I expect the problem might have been new staff and the theatre rush hour. Value was good and I expect we will return.

Food was good - not great. The Patata Bravas was odd - undercooked sliced, steamed & oven baked - not the crispy morsel expected. OK for a preshow meal. Great coffee.

Welcoming service. Great food. We chose four Tapas dishes which arrived more or less together but as it was a cold evening by the time we got to the last two dishes they were cold. Otherwise an enjoyable meal. Would definitely return

The staff were friendly and happy ... however the food was average. Reasonable value for money but uninspiring presentation.... the salad was limp and the octopus was tough and not cooked too order but looked reheated in a microwave.

Restaurant is in a great location opposite the Ros Packer Theatre and on the pier affording water views. The staff were friendly and efficient but the food is only just ok with a confused greek/spaniish/Turkish mixture of tastes. Wine was good but expensive... a $20 bottle shop shiraz was $54.

Great location looking out across the marina. No road noise. The service was caring, friendly and efficient. Four of us enjoyed seven tapas dishes accompanied by a very good Riesling. A delicious way to enjoy different tastes without overeating. Highly recommended for lunch or evening. Perfect for pre-theatre.

The service was very good and, while the tapas menu looked interesting overall, the final product lacked imagination. Short cuts were taken with the ingredients which detracted from the resulting flavours.

Fine food, great ambience. We enjoyed tapas, prawns, lamb kofta, mushrooms, and figs with jamon. The pitta bread and olive oil is a great accompaniment. Nice wine (pinor noir) by the glass. Friendly service; our waiter was kind enough to tolerate our schoolyard Spanish. Great value, great location. Highly recommended.

Lavana has a lovely tapas section that's good to share with friends. The staff is friendly and attentive and are happy to advise you and bring you the beverage of your choice.
