Food very good , busy night waited a bit too long for dinner. Good size servings and staff lovely.

Great service, great food and wine and excellent as usual

The service was great. We were a group of 4, 2 thoroughly enjoyed their meals. 1 had fish and chips and found the fish quite greasy, thinking it needed to drain more before serving. Another had the nightly curry with fish, and though tasty the quantity of curry served was surprisingly small.

We had a lovely family catch up with great service and food. We'll definitely be back.

This was the extreme heat day in Melbourne and we were not actually supposed to be in town so most of our stuff was a Mornington. My husband only had thongs (or boots) so he rang ahead to check if it would be ok to wear thongs. The manager was very pleasant quipping "as long as you have a wallet, I don't mind". Flexibility given the rotten weather was so very much appreciated. Plus the steak was amazing.

We go here about every 3-4 months. Always good. The Salt n Pepper Calamari was 100% perfect. Our ‘go to’ is the ‘Steak for 2 to share’ It was fantastic although we asked for medium it was cooked medium/well but I still can handle that. A cork Shiraz wine was not that great (drinkable but not perfect - not the Malvern Hotels mistake) so will make sure I go back to the screw tops.

I've lost count of the number of times I've had Christmas lunch at The Malvern Hotel. And it's a tradition that will continue. Everything about this experience is fabulous - they do it so well. The 3-course meal is refined and delicious, beautifully presented and with best quality produce. The selection of included wines is thoughtful and a perfect compliment to the food. The table settings are lovely and the service is attentive. Many thanks to the management and staff of The Malvern for another exceptional dining experience.

At tentative wait staff, pleasant. The dinning rom is looking shabby . Wall were dirty where I was seated . I’m sorry to say it’s looking tired.

4 of us went there for Christmas lunch and we all enjoyed the experience immensely. The food, the wine, the service and the atmosphere, all were perfect. It was our first visit there and now we have another venue to enjoy good food on a regular basis.

They put on a great Xmas Day spread and the food is always good here.

Excellent xmas day lunch , mixed seafood followed by traditional turkey & ham with the trimmings and plum pud, all great, excelkent selection of quality wines included and nice mocktails for non alcho drinkers.

Friendly helpful service … great wines and food to match

Thr table allocated in the back area, was between the payment area, the toilets & the kitchen hence the above tolerable noise level. However on returning next week, I have requested table 1 in the front part so hopefully will be somewhat quieter. That aside, it was a most pleasant evening & highly recommended.

It’s a good place to go to catch up with friends, but last night was very busy as they had to close at 9.30 as there needed to be work done either nearby or on the premises. They weren’t happy about it but made it work. So considering that they did very well.
