Milky Lane - Newcastle

Reservation was followed up and confirmed day prior. Was advised unable to split bills and only able to dine for 1.5 hours which suited us. Food came out super fast, very friendly staff. Only gripewas cocktail came out 1 hour after ordering, knowing this cocktail shoulve been comped. It was delicious though

Drink prices were a bit out there. Paying $12+ for a drink that’s 90% ice. Everything else was good though

We absolutely loved the food! The music was quite loud, but that's the atmosphere people go there for I'm sure :)

There was three of us at a small table and it was quite cramped. Otherwise it was a really great visit as always

Had the chic kanye burger with the crispy southern fried chicken, holy bejezzus, it was sensational. To top off the arvo we smashed down the new caramilk rolls that were on the special menu, definitely went home and had a very satisfying nana nap. Thanks Milky lane, you're winner

Music was ridiculously loud at 6pm I would expect it that loud later on in the night and the food was average. Won’t be back.

The chips were overcooked in the loaded fries and the burger came across quite dry as if sauce was missing or the Pattie was over cooked. Otherwise, it was a pleasant visit. Staff were very polite and attentive.

Couldn’t fault our experience, the service & food was fantastic. The only disappointing thing was that we were too full to eat dessert.. 😜

was an average experience, given what social media give you. Was an empty restaurant yet we were sat on top of others.

We had a large group for dinner, the DJ made conversation difficult but the food was excellent

Although one of our orders didn’t come out till after I had finished mine, the staff were beyond amazing and the food was yum

It has definitely changed from when we first went there we didn't really like it this time definitely wasn't worth the $200 we spent

Second time here & it was a bit disappointing. The food was nice but having waited 40 minutes for us to be told out cocktail order was lost & that they can’t make it now because the order list is too long, was pretty poor in my opinion. We were offered desserts instead, however I’d prefer the drink, as I’d been waiting a few weeks for this. Anyway, won’t be back because there’s plenty of local places that would have rectified the situation quickly.

Great vibe to the place, however that’s where it ended for us. Service was pretty slow, despite there appearing to be close to a dozen “workers” only 2 seemed to be on the floor. Our order was taken (without writing anything down) which is ok if you get the order right, which didn’t happen. Then the most bizarre thing, and the thing likely to turn me off from visiting again, our sides eg chips and sweet potato chips came out before our burgers ( burgers don’t come with chips on the side, so you order “side” dishes) however our waitress forget to tell us that what happens here instead is your chips or whatever sides your order to have with your burger actually come out first and separate to the meal, and I’m talking a good 15 mins before our burgers. I found this really bizarre (maybe it’s just me). When we finally could get a waitress over to the table to ask what is happening, they did offer to take our chips back and bring them out again with our burger ( great idea) which we took them up on. Upon again looking around for someone to finalise our bill, we got the receipt only to see a item we didn’t order on our bill. This was easily fixed up, but I don’t normally check receipts, so lucky i did. And I would suggest everyone else does as well as according to the person who cashier with the iPads they use it’s very easy to accidentally add something to an table. Now as a business that seems silly, customers run the risk of getting charged for something they didn’t order, and the kitchen staff would make it, and the floor staff would run it, seems like an area they could tighten up on. The burgers were on the small side and to be honest didn’t do it for me (and I love burgers, which is why this place was recommended to me). Would I visit again, probably not, but I doubt me not going again will really bother them, seemed to be quite popular.

Wait times were ridiculous, food came out weirdly staggered and had completely finished the meal by the time the cocktail I ordered first, actually came. Our server said it was because they were "making that cocktail in bulk" while the table beside us, that was seated 10 minutes before, got their huge shared cocktail. Food was over-priced for size, 8.80 for chips that big is highway robbery.

The food was amazing and so much of it. The staff and service was beyond excellent, we have a 7 month old baby and they could not have done more to make us welcome and feel comfortable. It’s so hard to dine out with a young child but not with how helpful with how your staff are. Thank you so much, we will definitely be back and will recommend your Newcastle!!!

Expected the burgers to be a bit bigger and the cups for the table water were dirty, otherwise a good experience

Despite being on time and sitting right near the bar where the waitstaff regularly walked past us, we were forgotten. 45mins sitting with a patient child we asked about our meals while we watched staff goof off and eat their lunches in the kitchen finally an hour and a half after arriving we finally ate. I was gobsmacked when the manager asked me ‘if the wait was worth it’ and he was shocked when I said No. we were given free drinks and a free dessert but much rather would have preferred to pay full price and be served promptly. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Wouldn’t recommend.

Took 10 minutes for someone to come greet us at the table, service was slow took another 40 minutes for our food to come out and it was cold. Have had better from there

Sooo good, but the seating - little close together for tables of 2

Nice and maybe a good place for a few beverages and a free before a night in town
