Consistently great food that tastes awesome every time we go

Good food, French influence, decent wine list. Service could improve, things like the side Salad we ordered did not come with the Main meal ( I cancelled it, think they forgot) warm olives and bread starters, bread came 15mins before olives, olives were cold ,again think waitress forgot them and brought them out when she remembered. All considered we enjoyed our lunch.

Service was poor. Food portions were small. After ordering entrees and mains we were told that deserts would take too long and we could only have something easy. I don’t often give negative reviews but in this case I believe it is warranted.

One of the inner west gems. Louis and the team serve up amazing French food. The SMH people need to visit to award them a hat- it is that good. If you are a local please try it out

Food excellent as always, service friendly and decent for the price you pay. The interior could have been a little warmer but we were right near the front door on a chilly night. This is still a relatively hidden gem and great value - we will be back for sure.

Monte is always at the top of their game when it comes to fine dining. The food is always great and consistent. Monte has nicely spaced tables that allow for good conversation at each table. The waiters are always efficient and attentive to the customers. I've been there on weekends and weekdays and never had a problem making a reservation with a few days notice. Tonight I even made the reservation only 4 hours before my arrival and it was fine. Monte's prices are exceptionally good for the quality that is presented. The wine and concktails are very good as well.

The food was all delicious - Ceviche was really fresh with a lovely dressing. The steak was perfectly cooked, and the service was great too. The restaurant was quiet for a Friday night which is a shame when the food is this good!

The food was nice we had the carpaccio and prawns (the prawns were just okay). We wish the food was saltier. The mains were spot on the eye fillet and the pork belly. Service was a bit lost as they asked us like three times three different waiters if we have already ordered. It was okay overall experience.

Fantastic service and delicious food. All our party were super impressed but for vegans the options were unfortunately very limited. The only options available were tasty but sad that there was only 1 starter and 1 main to choose from. For the rest of us, lots of choice and truly delicious food.

I am lucky to say that I have been to many fine dining restaurants in the CBD, but hands down, I can honestly say that Monte tops them all. The food is beautiful with top quality service. I have been there many times and the food never disappoints. I would give it 10 out of 10 (or more).

Staff are nice, service was good, food was delicious & the 5% discount for paying cash is a great incentive. Proper air conditioning on a very hot night was also very appreciated for comfortable dining & an enjoyable night out.

Food was very nice. We sat outside even though it was a hot night because it was incredibly noisy inside! Nice French music.

Great quality food and priced very reasonably. Street parking on Norton usually available else on streets surrounding the park opposite the restaurant.
