Food was delish and the staff were very nice. The desserts were a little disappointing but overall a beautiful meal. Will be back.

This is the best restaurants in Leichhardt, and definitely one of the lesser-known jewels in Sydney's food scene. The food is consistently spectacular and well priced, and the service from the family-run team is second-to-none. No matter how busy Monte gets (and it is popular) you are always made to feel welcome. We've been coming here for years for intimate dinners and group bookings and Monte never disappoints. Also - hot tip, if you want Leichhardt's best pasta, this is it!

As always, Monte delivers on every aspect. The food was amazing, not one dish was disappointing. The service was exceptional and the atmosphere of the restaurant is pleasant and calming.

A very pleasant dinner. Beautiful food, absolutely delicious and dishes well balanced. Service was a little slow, especially between courses. However, I appreciate that the restaurant was busy and it was peak season. Would recommend to others!

A nice relaxing place. Was busy on our visit which meant a long wait for meals. French onion soup was lacking French. And onions and I think it was thickened….. Main was very nice and steak was to die for. Would come again

We had a wonderful evening, the food was amazing, service discreet, but it was a bit noisy but manageable. I would always recommend Monte to friends as the menu has a great variety of choice and the food presentation is exceptional, and the overall price is very reasonable for the value of the food.

Had a lovely family dinner to celebrate my dad's 90th Birthday. As it was a Tuesday it was BYO, so we could bring some special wines to enjoy. It wasn't too busy so the restaurant was quiet which is great for older people when a bit hard of hearing. Food was excellent as always - the chef is cordon bleu trained and everything is delicious. Great value for money for choices above the ordinary. Highly recommended.
