Always love dining at Montazumas. There's usually a great vibe with families & friends dining there.

Service was good and friendly staff We found the meal we had was average at best. Wine was good quality and well priced. Dessert was nice and enjoyable. Atmosphere needs improvement with perhaps music or staff dressing up. Overall I’d give a 5:10

Service was so bad , no table service, 4 staff were just standing behind the bar chatting, no one came and asked us for drinks , had to keep going up to the bar to ask for food and drinks. Only one girl kept coming up to us after asking. Food was terrible. Our 2 main dishes came out so cold on a steaming hot plate 🫣 Mentioned it to the only waitress that wanted to work that night. Said it would take 15 minutes.. Food was so awful, even the kids meals. They didn't charge us for main meals at the end after me complaining, I never complain. We will never go back again after a friend recommend ing

My partner and I have been going to montezuma’s for the last 20+ years. We, and our families, have ordered the same thing almost every time (beef enchilada for myself/my family, vegetarian nachos for my partner/his family) and it’s always been “the same”. Unfortunately, our most recent meal was noticeably different in taste, quality, texture and presentation. Really disappointing and not sure if this is the end of our lifelong montezuma’s patronage or if maybe it was just an off night. The meals have been so consistent for literal decades throughout countless visits with friends and family so we really hope the original quality and recipes return.

Food bland and Overpriced. Disappointing. Service was friendly but not enough to make up for the food. Also, they couldn't find our reservation

I had not been to the restaurant for over a year. The menu has diminished and I was not impressed.

The food was generally uninspiring .My guacamole had hard pieces of unripe avocado in it and the pulled pork lacked flavour. The menu lacked fresh vegetables and was very heavy in carbohydrates.

Restaurant clean. Food was terribly dried out, especially the shredded beef which was like the kind of bark you use in the bush to get a fire going. There is clearly no chef, it is just reheated food. Awful food. Ridiculously priced for the quality. Restaurant was pretty much empty and now I know why. No one asked us how our meal was, nor even when we were paying. The staff clearly know it’s akin to dogfood. We won’t be back.

Menu has been reduced and the food quality was poor for rhe prices they're charging. Cocktails poorly done.

Service was fast and efficient. Staff were very friendly. Unfortunately, the food was average. Not a lot of flavour and the Spanish rice was very bland, enchilada was very small. Prices are expensive for the quality of the food.

Food was great, service efficient & informative, pleasant. Mexican beer was local - a northgate family Owened business, great to keep local.

Given we were probably a rowdy group of girls who had a little too much to drink to celebrate, the staff were all so incredibly lovely and the service was amazing. We had an amazing time and it was all thanks to you guys!

We went to Montezumas last night as I haven't been in a really long time. It was so dim in the restaurant that I asked if we could turn the lights on as there was heaps of lights but I was informed they were all not working/needed new globes (it was 13 lights in total that were off, so a massive amount). I moved to a nearby table with more light so I could see better. We then ordered and the jalapeño poppers, Mexican street corn and chillie con carne all of which we ordered was not available. I ordered a chimichanga instead and discovered half way through my meal that there was a toothpick in it that I almost choked on. I'm not sure what it was doing there as it didn't have a flag on it for decoration but at that stage I was honestly so disappointed and upset that we paid and went home shortly after. The only saving grace was that the girls that served me were lovely. Management or the owners need to do something because it was honestly embarrassing.

Had no chicken or jalepenos but failed to tell us Entree was very oily Value for money minimal Wont be returning

As regulars and long time diners at Montys, last night was a bit of a disappointment! We ordered through the QR code like we have done lately when we were seated. It took half an hour for our first drink to come out then waited for the second drink and entree, this was after asking if our order had been received. Once our entree arrived we ordered our mains. There was also a delay on this. We could see others had arrived and ordered and eaten then left before we had received our mains. It was a little busy but have seen it busier. The food wasn’t the best. The dip was mostly cold and the mains weren’t the usual standard, the rice in particular didn’t seem to be cooked and was clumpy. We were given our entree and cocktail for free, which we appreciated, and the staff were apologetic. We will still continue to dine there hoping this was a once off.

We love Montezumas at Capalaba, Food is great and the Margaritas are superb! It's our go to place.

Staff were very cheerful and helpful. Went out of the way to sing happy birthday and make the evening feel very special.

They have changed the menu , no longer have hard tacos and the new soft ones just fall apart on your plate, jalepenos are now different and no where near as nice as the old ones. Increased the prices but reduced the quality of the food .

We were met by a young man that knew his menu and details very well. Has a great personality. The meals were delicious and compared to other Monty outlets they rate high. We have eaten at a number of Monty outlets over a period of 25 - 30 years. Personally the #10.

Great night as always, we always go for special occasions.

Food was ordinary and very expensive. Music was too loud. Virgin Margaritas were salty and tasted like not the flavour it should have been.

Food is always amazing as well as the service. Always welcomed with a smile and more than happy to serve us.
