Montezuma's - Capalaba

Montezuma's is our go to dine in place when celebrating a birthday as they have terrific rewards when you're a member. Great food and friendly service always.

Definitely needed more staff on - the poor waiters looked run off their feet. After we were seated two more tables were seated near us. They then got their orders taken and received their food before us, which we weren’t thrilled about as we were in a hurry. The food was great though! Overall, our experience was good - just put more staff on so mistakes like this don’t happen!

I had no problems. staff busy but had time to be always helpful. The children where entertained with the colouring & activity books which was a nice touch also.

Wonderful food and awesome service. Would have nice to have not been placed at a table directly next to a family of children having a birthday celebration (i'm assuming because we were with our son) when the restaurant was half empty, but we still had a great time.

TOOOOO noisy and only "just" Mexican food. The Margaritas came out of a slushy machine - very disappointing. - don't think we will be back

nice atmosphere (but a little chilly at times). food was great and very filling. I usually get the chicken fajita. it has changed a little. It was nice but would have preferred the old option of it sizzling and without the pickle mixture.

Great food We started going to Monties 30 years ago at Burleigh Heads And the taste is still the same today. The service was very good and attentive.

Always a great meal. Plenty of food. Can't wait to come back. And when they say the plates are hot, they are really bloody hot.

Great food and atmosphere but obviously understaffed...long wait times, forgotten drink orders and plates not cleared. The staff were lovely but just couldn't handle the workload. The adult half size nachos is ridiculously small when compared with a kids serve which is much cheaper and has more on the plate. Considering it mostly corn chipa..noone would be happy spending $19 on a snack size plate of chips with a side of sour cream and extra $3 for guacamole that wouldn't fit the palm of your hand. If you'd like a comparison...look at what Guzman y Gomez offer for almost half that price. Great place but when clearly understaffed and scraping on servings it makes we wonder if the restaurant is struggling to remain competitive.

Definitely enjoyed the great food, friendly service, and fun atmosphere. I'm really happy with my choice to go to Montezumas Capalaba for my birthday dinner.

Good food and services , reasonable drinks prices quality of the food promptly attention and good manners of waiters place clean and well presented warm food

The food was well presented but very over priced for what was delivered, not what was described by either the menu or waitress and did not remotely resemble "the taste of mexico". Or much taste at all for that matter.

Great food and service! We all loved our meal and the serving sizes were really substantial. Frozen margarita was divine! Thanks for a great lunch.

I wanted to like this place way more than I did. We ordered the taquito platter with 4 taquitos on a bed of Spanish rice. The so called "bed of Spanish rice" was so thin and burned around the edges it was hardly a bed but more of a garnish. Rice is cheap so I expected more on the plate for 18 dollars. We ordered the chips and a large order of guacamole afterwards, and the small bowl of it for 5 dollars was a little high in price, but pay 3 dollars for a handful of tortilla chips felt really high. If the food was really nice I would have considered the prices to be more reasonable, but it didn't have much flavour, which made me a little sad. The taquitos were crispy but the beef didn't have much in the way of spices and felt slightly dry, and it felt like they needed something other than the little bit of salsa and cheese on them. I really wanted to like the place, but I was a little disappointed. I want to come back and try another dish and see if this experience was just a fluke, and maybe I'm just being too critical, or too used to American prices for the same meal. The service was pleasant though, and I hope you can improve on pricing and seasoning of food.

Service was friendly and the food was pretty good. They should allow for a few swaps in a few of their meals though. Nice establishment

Great food, good service and nice relaxing ambience. Highly recommend Sanan Andreas (garlic prawns) for mains with Guacamole dip on side. Goes well with Montezuma's Sangria. Always enjoy going back for more.

Excellent food as always. Be prepared that the service can be a bit slow as the place gets busy but don't have enough staff. The staff always do their best though and don't let this spoil your experience. They are fantastic and the food is worth waiting for.

Food was great. The kids had fun and overall it was a really enjoyable experience. We had sangria which was fantastic with our food. We will be back

Service was excellent. The friendly staff ensured our 2 year old grandchild was happy. There are vegetarian and vegan options on the menu and both were delicious. Will definitely be back.

Nice friendly staff, quick orders, however it too a while for food and drinks to come out but it was explained to us that they were a chef down that day. Food was as always terrific.

Always consistent. I have never had a bad meal here yet. Only negative are the chairs. Really uncomfortable which takes away from the experience a bit.

Excellent service from all staff - even on a busy night. Delicious food served hot and in good time. Will definitely visit again very soon.
