Okami - Doncaster

Heard about this place, read some reviews, seemed to have good reviews. The food was not even averagely good. Our first few dishes came out so quickly, but the next ones, felt like we had been forgotten about and the third time, we just gave up on waiting and left. When we asked the waiter about our wait time, he said something about the chefs just stacking up the plates and that they don't care. For $40 per person, we definitely did not get our moneys worth. Very disappointed. Everything tasted cheap.

The whole experience was terrible. The food was cold and there was extreme wait times. The staff would forget to take orders and were very slow when taking payment. Will not be returning given the terrible customer service and food quality.

Something for everyone. Love the ordering system. The dishes were prompt however we needed to check in with the friendly staff a few times. Highly recommended

It was the night before Father's Day so place was packed and some orders were missed. Not the best experience lve has with this restaurant

We had to call over wait staff to order more food. We were not attended to. Tables around us had designated wait staff but we did not. We didn't even get food we had asked for but they were bringing us food we didn't ask for. Overall a disappointing experience

The food was delicious & the service was great, but we were all crammed into the front section of the restaurant together with a large group of very noisy people. It was deafening. We couldn’t hear each other speak & couldn’t get out of there fast enough. Suggestion - put large bookings down the other end of the restaurant.

Booked days ahead for 2 people. Arrived and was given a 2 people table but it was right near the entrance to the restaurant where every person who enters and exits has to walk very close to our table. With bags and coats brushing past us the table not big enough to hold the plates, menu, glasses, condiments, water bottle, utensils and food served. We felt quite uncomfortable. We asked to move and was told no even though as I pointed out they had half the restaurant empty. It did start to fill but was still at lease 15-20% empty when we left. Our bill had about 15 things on it that we didn’t order, as it is all you can eat for $39.95 it wasn’t a problem as far as price goes but was quite strange. She told us not to worry we just had to pay the bill it doesn’t matter what it says we ate. As long as the bill is correct. Again very weird…a scam?? Any how found it quite unfriendly that they wouldn’t accommodate their paying customer asking to move because we were feeling uncomfortable with people possibly contaminating our food.

When I arrived the restaurant, I thought I might wait for long time for ordering and receiving meals, cause there were many people dining at moment. Surprisingly, one of the staffs came to me and waited for my meal ordering. Then 10 mins later, all dishes I ordered came to my table. As a buffet restaurant, I feel they provide good customer service. Also all staffs are smiling and friendly when they are working. Definitely I will choose Okami next time.

Absolutely astonishing how terrible our anniversary dinner was. We had to wait over an hour for our meal and it was so noisy I couldn't even hear my husband speaking to me.
