A nice place to eat and the staff was good

An empty table has been holding on for at least 25mins within our one hour experience in this particular Okami restaurant. Until today, our family have been huge fans of Okami and this is definitely the WORST experience!!! Even for every single dish of the first order, we have only received half of them. And since the first order has been served, you could feel the following orders are served truly slowly. We didn’t over order and only ordered what we’re able to finish, however, it seems much unlikely to be served as a normal all-you-can eat restaurant. Not to mention that you’re unable to review your previous orders in the ordering system and therefore unable to complain with it. Somehow we are getting the feeling of being played the tricks instead of enjoying the food, which we have paid for. After all the waiting, we couldn’t help complaining about not being served with any food and that we’re still hungry, we got the explanation that the system is not working and the kitchen didn’t receive any of our following orders. The waiter kindly offered to take our orders over their iPad, but we just didn’t have the mood any more. Never ever come back again and completely disappointed.

We loved our visit to Okami Doncaster. The food was great quality and portions allowing you to enjoy a wide range of items from the menu. What really makes this venue are the staff. They were so lovely! We had a wonderful night out and look forward to returning.

Restaurant and food are lovely. Bit disappointed they have a qrcode to order. Prefer to talk to a human when ordering.

Staff were not helpful nor friendly. We had a child with allergies so we supplied his own dinner. we were not aloud to have it at the table so had to take the child into the carpark to eat it. When we told the waiter he wasn't eating , he said he needs to sit here on the end of the table so “we can watch that he doesn’t eat” (that meant removing the child down the adults end) he didnt want to move away from the childrens end so the waiter he put him down as eating and put him on the bill. Then when we went to pay we had to try and get him removed off the bill We did not see 1 smile the whole time we were there.

Quite value for money. Go early as made to order food is slow to arrive at table when crowd builds up.

Time for delivering of the food was slow, eps the sushi platters. The worst was some of the sushi plotters were not that we ordered. We will definitely not to visit this restaurant again and won’t recommend others to go this restaurant.

The food was delicious, quick to order. We booked buffet style japanese food . We need order 9 dish at time between 3 people . We were full after eating after 10 dish. Good price

Not enought staff. Didn't get orders right. Food was slow to come out. Gave us a small table for 8.

Found we had to ask several times where some times were. A serving of rice ( to go with the terriaki chicken) didn't come at all. The actual service was slow, so we got the code and that was quicker. Not everyone is able to use the code and I think it is very important to give the same level of service then a waiter is needed.

First and difenitely last visit. I no longer wonder why it’s a cheap all you can eat, absolutely no quality on what is offered. But the biggest disappointment was staff behaivour. Minimum expectation when you book and dine in, is being treated with respect and this is something Okami Doncaster doesn’t offer. Staff or at least the 3 we talked to last Friday night could hardly speak or understand English which affects customer service big time. A young guy working as a waiter had very rude behaviour, when serving dessert he even went as far as throwing spoons on the table and leaving. I ordered a drink and I was served something else, I had to ask for it to be changed and after 15 minutes I was told we’re sold out! No apoloies for changing my order without notice. We were still eating and website showed 10:30 as closing time, around 9:40 waiter came to us and said “gove me the soy sause”, no please no nothing else. To be honest I was shocked both with food quality and disrespectful behaviour of staff. I will not recommend this place to anyone and will never go back.

For a place that gets so busy, it amazing how it doesn’t have that bustling feel. The waiters are swift and courteous. The food is delicious.

It was FANTASTIC! Our new favourite restaurant. Can't wait to come back again.

Staff were friendly. Easy to order via mobile phone. Salmon on Sushi rolls doesn’t seem to be fresh enough. Sashimi was fresh though. Beef was tender and full of flavor.

Came for lunch at 12pm, empty restaurant and was seated on the worst table next to the kitchen. I asked if they were booked out (maybe we could move to a nicer table near the window) but they responded it was quiet. Back area was not in use however there was someone watching tv (staff member) quite loudly, therefore creating no ambience. Will request a bigger, better positioned table next time.

Good value, wasn’t too busy when we walked in, and seated. Food came out reasonably quick. I wish we had more room in our belly.
