Okami - Frankston

It was awesome as usual, food was hot and servers were helpful and patient. As busy as they were, they still had a smile when they came over. The only down side was waiting an hour for my prawns to arrive, everything else came in minutes.

Pleasant decor, prompt friendly service, and the food was tasty and beautifully presented. The menu was comprehensive and easily provided for everyone’s tastes at our table. Overall, great value and a good night out.

One of the best restaurants I've ever been to, cannot recommend highly enough! Food was sensational, staff were amazing and the atmosphere was fantastic! Will definitely be returning!

Fantastic food, excellent service, make sure you're hungry & dont over! Only cons is parking. Use side streets. Very busy & a little noisy but was excellent. Totally recommend, we'll be back.

Great restaurant, with an nice menu that's simple to understand. Food was excellent as were the staff, an enjoyable experience overall. I would happily recommend Okami to any of my friends.

Service was excellent, with the dishes arriving quite quickly after ordering and continuing to arrive in due course. We enjoyed the delicate flavour of some dishes, the various techniques of cooking and the overall appearance of the dishes. We tried dishes we hadn't had before as well as some more well known. One dish we didn't like very much but that was probably more due to our palates than anything being wrong with the food. Overall, the food was excellent, the ambiance was lively and the company terrific. Our guests were impressed and we were delighted to introduce them to Okami.

Absolutely great food from genuine Japenese staff. Quick, great service, Not sure how they do this so well with all tables full so get there whilst it is happening!!

Fast, friendly service. Good quality food, very fresh. I would recommend ordering three to four items at a time as they seem to cook the food in rounds, so will guarantee you always have something on your table. They don’t provide wine etc, even though you are given a drinks list with wine on it? You can b.y.o at $5 per bottle. Arrive 10-15min after the start of your sitting, or else you have to line up out the front with 100+ people

Very busy restaurant, seated quickly and explained how the ordering works. Very good food all round, high quality Japanese made fresh with the standouts being the miso steak, the prawn Gyozo and the takoyaki.

We were pleasantly surprised with the quality and freshness of the food presented to us. One imagines an “ all you can eat “ restaurant, the food sitting in platters for hours, but instead ,the short wait between orders meant a fresh presentation of food selected.

Without going thru each item individually ..in general the food was nowhere close to Japanese and the miso and sauces even further away! The prices should have been a warning, you get what you pay for! Unfortunately, the staff did their utmost...but the service was all over the place as well, orders lost, orders missed on the iPads..the system let them down. As keen japanese foodies...my wife and I will definitely not be back..but if you are just after a cheap night out and not looking for an authentic Japanese taste...you'll love it!

The food was really good, but the service wasn't great. It took us 25 minutes to get someone to come over and take our first order, which considering we were on a time limit, wasn't ideal. We were a party of 8, and when we wanted to order a second round, again, nobody ever came by our table to let us order, let alone to clear our empty dishes. We had to keep chasing the servers down to try to get them to come by and take an order. Overall, would go back, but would like better service!!

Very fast service with food coming out within 5 minutes of ordering even if ordering few dishes, great food, and large variety of food for everyone, BYO!

This all you can eat Japanese restaurant in Frankston is perfect for the hungover, the big boned and the very hungry. I am normally all of these so I enjoyed it very much. #getinmymouth

Clean, good portions so you don't over order. Potato croquette was delicious and seating times were plenty of time to eat your fill. yum! !

The food is fresh and delicious and the waiters are always happy to help it’s fantastic the liquor licence is threw I’m pretty sure and you can BYO wine the corcage is $5

Excellent food quality. Couple of small criticisms 1 seats a bit mismatched $6 Bunnings fold out seats on one side of the table. And waitress forgot to place an order waited 25 minutes for the staff to place the order but they were very apologetic and offered a complimentary jug of soft drink to rectify. Other than that service was outstanding. Will definitely return and recommend to friends.

It was great, the service was quick and did not have to wait long for your food. The was freshly made and it was hot.

Such delicious food and very quick service. I will definitely be coming back again. Many foods were traditional foods that I ate when travelling through japan, took me back :)
