Okami – Niddrie

the staff kept on messing up the orders, then asked for tea 3 times but never came, just a terrible terrible terrible way to celebrate a birthday for a family member.

The food is amazing, & our grandchildren love it also. Love the dumplings, nigiri & beef carpaccio are magnificent.

Didn't receive half of the things we ordered and some things we did receive we didn't order. For every 4 dishes ordered we maybe received 2.It didn't feel like a great experience at all so we left and found somewhere else to eat which cost much more than we anticipated for the evening.

The staff were absolutely lovely—so friendly and welcoming. Their uniforms looked great and added a nice authentic touch to the whole experience. It made the place feel special right from the start. The food came out very fast, which was impressive. I enjoyed most of the dishes and appreciated the variety. For $42 all-you-can-eat, it was great value and definitely worth it. I would come again. That said, there were a few things that could be improved. The meat dishes I ordered were a bit too sweet for my taste, and the meat wasn’t very tender. There was also a lot of sauce—too much, really—and it would be better if the sauce came on the side so people could choose how much they want. I know everyone has different preferences, but for me, the meat quality didn’t quite match the rest of the experience. Also, the plates we used were quite small, which made it a little tricky to enjoy the meal comfortably—especially with multiple dishes on the table. Overall, I had a good time. The atmosphere, service, and speed were all great. With just a few small changes, it could be even better.
